Abstract
NVIDIA is a leading company in the GPU industry. The company has stood the test of time in being the leading market player in comparison to its two main competitors, Intel and AMD. The firm has put in place measure to ensure its dominance in the market. The company has a diversified assortment of graphics processor units (GPUs) from the late 20 century and the start of the 21st century. The firm has over the past decade has explored diverse technologies in the fields of accelerated computing and artificial intelligence (AI). This paper presents a business perspective of the strategic position with a brief analysis of the history and how the company is well positioned in the market. Also, this paper presents a SWOT analysis and a PESTEL analysis to forge amicable recommendations that the company needs to enact to remain as a leader in the market share and also gain a competitive advantage and a competitive age over the leading competitors. Reports reveal that the company has been fairing on well in performance within the recent years. The paper, however, irrespective of the tremendously good performance proposes some recommendations to the company so that it can even perform much better in the market share index.

Companies need to maintain a competitive advantage so that they can stay up in the market and continue thriving in profits — the first recommendation of for NVIDIA to strive to preserve the lead in discrete GPU.

NVIDIA maintaining the lead in discrete GPU share in the market would translate into controlling the imminently growing gaming industry as the market of virtual reality (VR) increases. Maintaining the lead would help the company to grab the growing VR industry which would benefit the firm as compared to its competitors.
Another recommendation to the firm is the leadership to streamline its operations and increase efficiency. When this recommendation is put to force, then the firm will have an open and transparent allocation of resources which would lead to stakeholder’s confidence (Teske, 2018). Once all the stakeholders exhume confidence with the organization, they become good brand ambassadors increasing the number of customers and convincing more masses about the superiority of NVIDIA’s products hence growing competitive advantage.
Another recommendation to the company is for it to incorporate services that would cater to the hostility in the market for instance crypto-currency. The company is recommended to develop hardware that would cater to this market segment. Developing these products would provide the company with an opportunity to have products that cut across the diverse needs of the entire market. It would also reduce the cost of purchasing the products to a particular niche of clients which would diversify its products and serve a broader customer need hence making an age for its competitors.
Finally, another recommendation to the company is to strive to maintain a corporate culture that can be summed up as a culture of integrity. This move would increase the morale and job satisfaction of the workforce leading to better performance of the staff member which will directly give the firm an age over its competitor. In summary, NVIDIA has assumed a good position in the AI accelerated computing, and graphics industry to retain the leadership slot.
