The Greek works handle two essential components on which the plot of the stories, such as love or tragedy, usually turns, the latter being the genre most used by the writers of ancient Greece;These narrative genres seem totally opposite, however the bond that unites them is very strong, even though love is the center of almost any writing, only an act or decision is needed so that love becomes tragedy. However, the story could have had a different end, Oedipus could not have gone to the oracle, continue his life, and possibly over time he gets to know that his biological parents were not Pólibo and Mérope, but Layo and Yocasta.
