Why should Brandman University solve the housing problem for its students?
Accommodation is one of the most critical needs for university students. Students should have good and affordable housing facilities while in university. This enables them to conduct their learning activities effectively. However, in Brandman University, the housing facilities are inadequate and the available ones are too expensive for most students. The students who are fortunate to come from the neighborhood commute but the majority who are from different parts of the world, have to look for other solutions, which in most cases are not favorable. Lack of accommodation for students is among the reasons for the increased number of university dropouts. That is why the issue of housing in Brandman University is important.
One can get the information about the housing facilities in the university from the students, other stakeholders in the institution, from records available in the administration and from visiting the university. In attempting to solve the housing problem, the university is likely to face barriers such as lack of cooperation from parties involved for example the school management and the students. In addition, solving the problem requires a huge amount of money, which may be difficult to raise. The problem solving process has five steps. Among the five steps, the final step, which is selecting the solution, is likely to cause the most conflict. This is because; people will come up with different solutions.

Each one of them believes that his or her idea is the best. Being able to harmonize all the solutions and to come up with one and stick to it, is therefore, going to cause a lot of conflict among the parties involved.
