People in the Student Union Area of a College
Observation of the subject
The student union offers a warm and a welcoming environment. To obtain useful information to this regard interviewing the current leaders of the student union such as the president, director of student development and my school representative would give me great insight.
What impresses me is that the student unions in colleges have numerous benefits. The student can learn a lot about themselves including strengths and goals. It brings insights into how other students carry themselves in different situations. The self-awareness accrued in the group’s benefits in the student career. The skills assist in interaction, communication, ethics, and attitudes. Understanding how well to work with a team is essential in the college area.
My interests regarding the student union are since one can meet other students, from diverse backgrounds as well as new connections are made as well as constructing relationships that assist in looking for jobs.
Preliminary questions
Some of the preliminary questions I would ask of the three officials include the responsibilities that each plays in the student union; what is expected of them by the institution as a whole especially the administration; an enquiry on the main challenges that they encounter in their work in the student union and how they handle the pressure; and finally the major issues the student body face and what they are doing to assist or curb the problems as a student union or individually.

Planning of the project
The people in the student union are students registered to the institution. The unions are usually led by students across colleges who decide on the policy of the students; they set the direction of the union, and they run projects and campaigns to improve the experience of the students. The elected include the president, directors of student development, school representatives, executive officers, house directors and part-time officers.
What happens in the student unions involve numerous activities. The student unions give back to the local communities via volunteering, sports programs, and fundraisers. The volunteering groups are set up by students who deliver projects to schools, local hospitals, animal shelters and community centers. The volunteers get involved in a one-time or ongoing projects and programs with charities and non-profit organizations. The union also raises money to help those students who are not as privileged.
Reflection on the significance
The dominant sensory impression is both sight and sound. The impression tells us that communication and activity are the main techniques used in the student union.
It will be surprising to the reader to learn that a student becomes an outright member after joining the institution. Student unions organize fun events time to time. These events allow for socializing, that allows making new allies, meeting new people, networking and participating in activities such as community or college sports. Students get involved in college since they understand that the sacrifice of being a member or being a leader, is worth the benefits.
Defining the purpose for the reader
The reader will be a new college student. The reader will be amazed at the information collected as it offers insight into the student union world. A new student into the institution will then have a clear look of the student union activities and its significance. The sense of the community involves volunteering to give back to the community which not only helps the society but also gives great ideas for future charitable endeavors. The volunteering groups are set up by students who deliver projects to schools, local hospitals, animal shelters, the house of the elderly and community centers.
Thesis statements
It is interesting to study how the student union influences change in the community outside the institution via volunteer work. The student leaders facilitate programs where other student member participate to assist the diverse community.
We can identify some officials of the student union together with how they facilitate the change in the community. By interviewing the president, a school representative and the director of the school development a lot of information about what they do can be identified.
It is identified that student union allows for the inclusion of everyone in the college. A new student thereby is cushioned against loneliness. The student unions give back to the local communities via volunteering, and they allow all members of the institution to join.
