Personal growth as an individual

With the realization of this essay, some concepts are intended to know, such as: self – esteem, self-concept, personality and emotions, emotional intelligence, transformational leadership and public ethics. Each of the elements mentioned above are important that each person or individual must take into account in order to have personal growth.

THE SELF-ESTEEM

self – esteem is a set of perceptions, appreciations and valuations that a person has with respect to himself or the activities he performs. In general, self – esteem focuses on all of your person, in body appearance, in their work, etc. It is a self-assessment that we ordinarily make of us. All people have a mental projection of how they look, who they are, in what they are good or failing that they are bad, and as others perceive them.

It should be noted that, for psychology, self – esteem is about the emotional opinion that the people of themselves have and that goes beyond the causes of logic and rationalization. In other words, self – esteem is a valuative feeling of our body, spiritual and mental features that together form our personality.

It should be noted that, most psychological doctrines agree, that self – esteem would have its beginnings in our relationship with our parents, since the approval of the father and mother is key to a healthy personality in the future, since they withHis talks and love help us to meet us, to feel satisfied with who we are and so not to doubt at any time, on the contrary they help us be better people.

Wait! Personal Growth As An Individual paper is just an example!

In general, the time when this is most influential is in childhood and on it rests our relationship with ourselves.

SELFCONCEPT

self-concept can be considered as a complex cognitive structure, which remains relatively unitary and stable throughout our lives. It is also considered as a set of mental, flexible and articulated content, which vary depending on the needs, experiences, and context goals. self-concept can be defined in the same way as all those ideas, hypotheses and beliefs that we have of ourselves, that is, the way in which we perceive ourselves.

In relation to the above, the self-concept is represented by the knowledge that the person has with respect to herself, that is, by the set of perceptions and evaluations to which it resorts to be able to describe their personal characteristics, in the same way to know and knowknow what they really are and that same can transmit it to others.

Personality and emotions

Personality is a dynamic set of psychic characteristics of a person who have a model of emotions, thoughts and behavior that persists over time in the face of different situations, these characteristics differentiate some individuals from others. In the training of personality, both the biological basis (temperament) and environmental influences (character) intervene; These two concepts are of vital importance in the field of personality.

Consequently, emotions are related to personality, since these are physiological responses or reactions that our body generates before all the changes that occur in our environment or in ourselves. These changes are based on experiences that in turn depend on perceptions, attitudes, beliefs about the world;that we use to perceive and value a specific situation.

Therefore, emotions are those answers that our body reflects in situations that occur around us in any circumstance, being able to be among others, others towards us or of us with ourselves with ourselves. These emotions are information on how we should act before what happens to give us what our body considers that we need.

Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is one of the key concepts to understand the direction that psychology has taken in recent decades. Emotional intelligence represents all psychological abilities and abilities that imply the feeling, control, understanding and modification of both own and other emotions. A person who is considered emotionally intelligent is that capable of satisfactorily managing all the emotions necessary to achieve positive results in their relationships with others.

For this reason, emotional intelligence plays a central and important role in the success or failure of all kinds of human relationships, from sentimental and family to work ties. Emotional intelligence is also defined as a determining factor in the functioning of organizations, since empathy, motivation and emotional self-control of people can condition teamwork, making it more or less efficient and satisfactory for all.

Transformational leadership

This is a leadership practice through which leaders seek support of their subordinates to successfully achieve all the objectives set by the organization;Leaders support dialogue and communication to understand themselves in the best possible way with their subordinates in such a way that they can demonstrate it in the performance of the obligations that correspond to it. Employees work hand in hand with their superiors to identify needs, make decisions and carry out strategies, taking into account that a leader is different from a chief or manager and for this all the opinions of his followers are important.

For this reason, transformational leaders seek to inspire and empower their subordinates, stimulating their abilities and making them active participants and agents of change in the organization, since by increasing the commitment of employees, clarifying their role in the company and promotingTheir well -being is something favorable for all, for this reason the subordinates of transformational leaders take greater responsibility for their work, they feel compliant in the organization and are motivated to achieve positive results and if not, there is the leader helping so that everythingI can leave in the best possible way "it doesn’t leave them alone".

In conclusion, subordinates find greater satisfaction in doing their job with the type of transformational leadership, since both leaders and followers achieve greater understanding of their strengths and objectives. The performance of all arises from the same foundations and aligns towards the same goals, so it is important to work hand in hand, to achieve better results.

Public ethics

Ethics is the set of principles that define what is good and what is bad in human life. Someone is qualified as ‘ethical’ when their activity is consistent with these principles and performs what a certain society stipulates as good. Ethics has traditionally responsible for the study that psychology develops today: human behavior.

According to Erich fromm, in his ethical work and psychoanalysis, he says, that ethics cannot be disconnected from the study of the person since the value judgments we prepare determine our actions, and on these rest our mental health and our happiness. Fromm sees a direct relationship between ethics and psychology, to the point of maintaining that the neurotic symptoms that many people suffer are specific expressions of a moral conflict.
