Personal Short Film Opinion About Harassment

The short film is a clear case of bully.

From my point of view, Martín does the role of a child who shows that they have been harassing him for some time, and took the opportunity to be chosen to face the harassment he is suffering with great courage. It catches my attention as at no time used verbal communication and the rage with which the crosses on the board did, which demonstrates the great anguish it has inside. In addition, Martín took advantage of the moment trusting the teacher’s word.

As for the teacher, his role is from a very traditional person who does not show close to his students. His behavior is inexplicable and, as I said before, inexcusable. First, for leaving their students alone for five minutes: second, for leaving the responsibility to take care of a student;Third, for showing his trust to a student who later disappointed and finally because of the passive attitude he showed when he returned to the class and was not able, not even to look at the board to make sure whether Martin had pointed outtosomeone.

In reference to colleagues, they are witnesses and consent of what is happening and, therefore they are also guilty. Only Ana is the one that intermediates but either showed enough courage, I suppose that for fear of the stalker.

As for Luis, it shows a "chulesca" attitude typical of the stalker, and sometimes we would have to ask ourselves why his behavior towards others.

In my opinion it is as guilty Luis as the teacher. The professor did not fulfill his word when he returned to class, so he will surely have reinforced Luis’s attitude and worsened anguish, rage, Martin’s frustration by losing hope of communicating someone his situation.

For all these reasons, I consider that it is very important to develop emotional intelligence from early childhood education, through primary. That they are able to handle their emotions, know their strengths and weaknesses and work to improve them, respect others, empathize, learning to respect diversity.
