The existence of God
The question of the existence of Good is challenging since it is open-ended and has various answers depending on how one decides to address it. The scientific revolution of the past few centuries has led to people developing freewill in thinking and are now questioning established facts. Many people think that whatever cannot be proven from a scientific perspective is not true. Hence, they tend to challenge the idea of having a supernatural being, God repeatedly. Due to various speculations, we have seen people becoming atheist and claim to believe in science only, (Callard, 1). On the other hand, we have also seen others claiming to be “on the fence.” These individuals do not believe in God but give room for such an idea should it be proven. Science has opened minds but has also eroded many aspects of life such as superstitions and beliefs. Human beings are bound to try to find a solution to their problems. Science argues that the idea of a God is human’s excuse to the problems that they do not know any answers to. However, we cannot just disregard the idea of a God ignorantly without giving it a careful thought. For example, there is a lot to be understood yet by humans. We can learn to believe in God since there are many evidences of His existence. From a moral perspective and analyzing life as it is, it is not possible to ignore the existence of God.
The first part of the question is to agree that we can learn to believe in God.

A good example is having a fly on the other side of the wall. The fly essentially does not exist since it is not happening in your current situation. However, it still exists regardless of its location. Believing in God secures an eternity of happiness and blissful life after death. However, rejecting God from our life is a remedy for doom and eternal suffering. To be on the safer side, it is better to believe in God since the impact of Him not existing is relatively minimal as after dying one’s life ends completely, (Callard, 2). Many people argue that the chances of a God even if the chances of His existence are minimal but still fail to understand that the right bet is to believe in His existence. We notice that changing of beliefs by people is nothing intrinsic but extrinsic. No one can change from what he or she believes in at will. So, to be able to find oneself on the believers’ side, it is better to pretend that you believe in the existence of God and attend religious institutions such as churches and with time on will learn to believe in God. The acuteness that people have will be deadened by the masses naturally. The freaking ideas of eternal suffering as part of the punishment of not believing in God will make one change quickly.
“Pascal seems to concede that trying to believe is a matter of wishful thinking,” (Callard, 2). Self-manipulation is deceiving oneself and is the case here in one trying to believe in God without being convinced. For one to believe in a particular phenomenon they must be in a position where they can see the actions of the phenomenon. Hence seeing the work of God in your life will definitely force you to believe in God. Moreover, the threats such as burning for eternity will scare you into believing in God. “Pascal’s solution is that you start by pretending to believe: attend church, speak the prayers, adopt religious habits,” (Callard, 1). Some thoughts do not occur naturally and require external ideas. However, forcing oneself into thinking that there is no God is preposterous as there are many natural phenomena that require explanations. Some external powerful force must have brought the very existence of life and here the idea of God comes in. everything did not just occur without any external force. Just look at the universe and the way we have many planets aligned in an intricate manner. It is a masterpiece of art, which cannot occur by itself. Even in our home, the Earth, a certain balance is in existence and can only change with human interference. This proves that there is God. If one gains from the idea of having God they gain all, however, if they lose they lose nothing since the physical realm is dependent on one’s efforts to make it better.
From scientific enthusiasts, there is no God. Since God cannot be proven as, He is not tangible and cannot be heard. Science tries to disregard the idea of a supreme being in many ways. On many counts, we have seen religion being watered down as a mere moral school. We cannot dispute them completely but we can challenge them to explain their premises better, (Callard, 3). Human beings have a natural intrinsic quality, consciousness. For example, no one will tell you that killing your brother is wrong. Nevertheless, out of the instincts, you know that it is wrong to kill your brother. Unless science makes much more discoveries and it will remain a doubt that there is God. When it comes to wisdom, there is no monopoly of the mind.
In conclusion, we can learn to believe in God as we have seen many things to make us believe so. Even if the idea cannot occur to use natural and must be built by an externally acquired knowledge, it cannot be ruled out completely that there is no God. Science argues that the idea of a God is human’s excuse to the problems that they do not know any answers to. However, we cannot just disregard the idea of a God ignorantly without giving it a careful thought. For example, there is a lot to be understood yet by humans, (Callard, 4). “If you walk and talk like a believer, eventually you’ll come to think as one,” , (Callard, 4). Self-manipulation is deceiving oneself and is the case here in one trying to believe in God without being convinced. For one to believe in a particular phenomenon they must be in a position where they can see the actions of the phenomenon. Hence seeing the work of God in your life will definitely force you to believe in God, (Callard, 2). We can learn about God due to the practices that we have as human beings in our daily life. Practices such as purity and doing good things to others always while avoiding things that wrong others will bring us closer to God. God is a symbol of the pureness of life. The blissful life that everyone can wish for can only be found in God. God also solves all human problems and provides ways to succeed in both physical and spiritual lives. We are normally told that God is a spirit. Since we are not in that realm we can still learn to believe in him. We can learn to believe in God since there are many evidences of His existence. From a moral perspective and analyzing life as it is, it is not possible to ignore the existence of God.
