Apple Inc. is an American company that was incorporated back in 1977. The main function of the company is to design, manufacture and market mobile devices, music gadgets and, personal computers. The company has a wide operation base that includes America, Europe, China, Japan and some part of Asia (Kim, 2016). The company’s fast growth is mainly attributed to the first growth of technology that has helped it to come up with some commendable innovations. Since Steve Jobs took over the management, the company’s creativeness intensified with as the journey of launching superior products started then. Even after his death, his ideas are still being used in the firm leading to better products and hence high revenues.
The vision and mission statement of the company continues to motivate its employees to be more innovative and productive. Apple’s mission and vision statement are mainly focused on maintaining the competitive strategy. The vision states where the company intends go in terms of growth and product development. Its mission statement states the actions that should be taken so that the company can continue being successful (Vivien, 2013). The current leadership style of the company can be broadly defined as democratic. Employees are given a chance to give their opinion and the management implements some of them that are considered to be the best. The company’s main competitor is Samsung, they have been launching handsets one after another, when iPhone produced iPhone five, so did Samsung, and they have done the same up to iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy eight.

Initially, before the former CEO Steve Jobs assumed his office, the company’s public image was not stable and most people did not appreciate most products released by Apple. However, this trend changed once Steve Jobs became the CEO, he was able to adopt some vital measures to improve the company’s public image. The company has been using some public relation strategies to ensure that it attain and maintain a good public image. The first tool the company has been using is the through their website appearance (Kim, 2016). Their company’s website has been dynamic and has been updating their company’s news and information on a regular basis. They have an inviting website that lures most of their customers to visit and learn about them. They also have invested a lot in social media since the trends in the world today are changing. More and more people across the world have access to social media and uses it as a source of information. The other aspect is that the company has a vibrant public relation specialist (Vivien, 2013). The specialist advises the company on what to do and what not to so that they can maintain a positive public image.
In conclusion, Apple Inc. has been employing some measures to ensure that it remains on top of its direct competition. There is a rapid innovation by Apple to make sure that the firm is ahead of its computers. Besides, its products are highly differentiated to ensure that the company remains relevant in the market. The threat to the entry of competitors is low; the mobile company has captured the high-end market by producing devices to people with high income. No other company has been able to do that completely. There are some few measures the company should employ to make sure that their success in public relation continues. First, it should improve its current advertorials, this enables the company to integrate well with their customers. It should also engage itself in some community-based projects that aim to improve the current state of the community.
