My desire in this pursuit is to obtain CCRN certification through by taking an exam. CCRN certification represents a validation that a registered nurse (RN) has knowledge of nursing care for the acute or critically ill patients who range from the adult and pediatric to the neonatal patients (AACN & AACN Certification Corporation, 2017). The certification ensures the confidence of the nurse and the comfort of the patients and their families.
The eligibility for the examination accords me two options in the pursuit. The first option requires that I practice as a registered nurse (RN) for a cumulative 875 hours of practice in the year before my application. An alternative is to input five years of practice in the position of an RN with a cumulative 2000 hours of care for the acute or critically ill patients. Of the two selections, the most convenient is the first option with up to 874 hours. Subsequently, according to the offers that are available, my ideal selection of a location for testing is in a US-based. The convenience of the system is such that the exams are issued through computer-based testing all through the year, on weekdays and Saturday.
With the convenience, the tentative date to begin my study session and tests is preferably by 20th March. The date is ideal because I need to notify the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses within 30 days so that they analyze my RN license for any restrictions (AACN, 2017). The period before the individual study will also be sufficient for me to study and understand the requirements of the certification process.

Further, the test plans are such that the exam tests the candidates for a set of patient care problems (AACN, 2017). All the issues in the examination and study exist as major categories.
