Reflective Essay on Final Informative Speech about Post Stroke Recovery
In my speech, I discussed post-stroke recovery. I spoke about my encounter at the gym where I undertook the physical therapy to help with my post-stroke of spasticity of my left hand and arm. I also introduced myself stating my profession that I have been pursuing for the last 20 years. My goal in the speech was to convey to the audience a success story on how to overcome massive stroke through rehabilitation under the strict guidelines of the doctor (Kearney, 2017).

Wait! POST STROKE RECOVERY :PART 4 paper is just an example!

My primary intention during the speech delivery was to make it sound as casual as possible to the audience.
I also intended to make sure that I did not allow my nerves to get the better of me. Before the delivery of the speech, I made sure that I had obtained precise information concerning stroke. During the dispatch of my remarks, I defined the various forms of stroke as well as effects of the disease condition on the patient. I made sure that I stuck to the topic of the speech and my audience as much as possible throughout the time of the delivery (Kearney, 2017). I had a feeling that perhaps the audience lacks immense awareness about the nature judging by how they looked confused.
It made me feel elated having managed to extract some emotion from my audience during the time of confusion. At the time, I felt that my speech was not going well with my expectations. I regained the full attention of the audience when I started describing the various possible measures that can be undertaken to achieve the desired outcome during rehabilitation processes (Kearney, 2017). The audience took some notes as I brushed through the steps before I proceeded on to conclude my speech. After completing the address, the audience clapped for me as a show of appreciation that reassured me that my statement was indeed resourceful to them.
I think that my speech augured well with the expectations of the audience per the topic. I also feel that I prepared adequately before the delivery of the talk and therefore avoided making mistakes. The contents of my speech were also well arranged which made it easier for my audience to concentrate throughout the delivery. I hope that in future speech delivery presentations, I will employ similar qualities to my target audience.
