In every professional field, there is a code of ethics that helps to relate among people. This being a guide for good behavior. All professions have their own code, for the different areas that they work and how they perform it, so that the economist also has a model that has to continue to be able to excel as an outstanding professional in the community.

A code refers to a set of norms and laws on any subject, so that code of ethics is a normative procedure, where the responsibilities and obligation required by the professional when complying with their activities are considered.

In the different places of works there are different codes of ethics to be fulfilled, since there are different work environments that force them to respond in ways to each situation. That is why there are some functions that the Code of Ethics has, where it serves as guidance with respect to values, either honesty, freedom, justice, truth and principles such as respect, non -discrimination, impartiality, where knowledgeand observation increase the development and performance in the role of each professional in their area. Being the ethical codes instruments that facilitate the practice of ethical principles of behavior, and serve as a guide in the resolution of conflicts and dilemmas that companies face.

It is important to emphasize that ethics is widely reflected in the way of acting of workers, but that does not mean that everyone has a code of ethics embodied in their day to day, causing this that many companies are affected either direct orindirectly. Hence, one of the main crops of professional ethics is to stop being benefited, so that it is possible to work with a work team looking for the common good. Therefore, a chain would be formed, if the company is doing well, it is almost likely that workers will also benefit.

Every professional must mark behavior guidelines for the performance of their functions of a position within an ethical framework. Although professional ethics uses universal values, it is from the human being focuses on how they are applicable in the work environment.

Like every professional, the economist has a code of ethics that makes it differentiate between the other work areas. Economists must focus on social work within their work, also relating the morals that deals with human actions, which is why ethics within the economy makes the relationship to people’s behavior and how man acts in terms ofthe economy.

Taking emphasis on the economist, the Code of Ethics highlights that honor and dignity must establish for the professional the greatest pride to pride their profession. Taking into account that the exercise of their activities is not based solely on a professional work, but also focuses on an indispensable social function for the community, helping in the economic development of the country and the well -being of people.

The economist must be prepared to have the ability to discern both the good and bad of the consequences of professional performance. It must be competent with all adversities, but without exceeding ambition;but he must have an attitude that motivates him and a consistency that makes him reach the goal in order to be a better professional. You must strengthen your qualities as well as;Leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, innovation, proactivity, self-learning, reasoning, critical, teamwork, security, self-confidence and critical openness of change.
