WNA Leadership Intervention
The Wisconsin Nurses Association has promoted numerous leadership interventions that have changed the health standards of Wisconsin. Among the most notable of all, is the special license plate bills AB702 and SB543 (Dennik, 2016). Notably, the executive director of the association wrote to the chairperson and members of the transport committee in support of the two bills in 2016 thus playing an essential role in ensuring they went through and were successfully enacted. In the letter, the director clarified that the amount charged for the registration would go a long way in boosting the financial pool of the association and the nursing profession in general. She also extended gratitude to Senator Lasee and Representative Joel Kitchens for sponsoring the two bills (Dennik, 2016).
The testimony strengthened the case made in the hearing and helped the bills to reach the enactment stage. Primarily, the Wisconsin Nurses Association decides on what leadership endeavors to support or change based on the purpose of its formation. The side taken has to be in tandem with the objectives which include to boost nursing standards in Wisconsin, promote professional development, and improve the health standards of Wisconsin (WNA, 2017). Any bills that contradict the interest and purpose of the organization are shot down while those in favor of the association’s goal are supported vehemently.
The previous advocacy initiatives of the association have proven to be very instrumental in shaping the healthcare landscape of Wisconsin.

The experience and technical skill garnered from years of advocacy will help boost the results of this proposal too. As such, the influence that the association has acquired places it at a strategic point that will help improve the appeal of the project. It will also boost the chances of getting it approved by the Senate and implemented later on.
