Introduction

Caperucita’s teeth is a story by Cuban writer André Caicedo who starts from Red Riding Hood fable. The fable is inspired by a little girl named Lopperucita who represents innocence or weakness and in the wolf that is a voracious and hungry character with great force that threatens Littledefenseless person wishing your body. Unlike the fable, in Caicedo’s story, it is not the wolf who tries to devour, but a woman who for her first impression makes Little Riding Hood, but it is the opposite of an innocent or weak woman.

The wolf, who in this story is shown as a man who liked himself to take advantage of the young women seducing them at parties, with the sole objective of having sex with them ends up being a victim of this voracious woman. This reading enters us to songs of cannibalism and genres struggle. Caicedo’s text is apparently a first -person monologue through which Eduardo explains his desperate situation to his friend Nicolás, who was currently the ex -boyfriend of Jimena. Eduardo had felt an enormous attraction for his friend’s girlfriend in the time they held a relationship.
