Obesity
Having an unhealthy lifestyle might be a main reason for the growing rates of obesity among individuals. Shortage of regular physical exercises may inevitably lead to excessive weight gain. As a result, this may affect individuals’ mobility and eventually increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases in our community. For instance, many people tend to have sedentary jobs which may be also considered a main contributor to obesity. Furthermore, eating certain types of food may increase calories that are stored as fats. Consequently, individuals’ weight may increase and cause a lot of life-threatening complications. To illustrate, consuming large portions of fast food, such as hamburgers or pizzas, probably leads to obesity. Another probable reason for obesity is the occasional consumption of too much alcohol. Alcoholic products like beer contain too many calories and too much intake may lead to obesity. Besides alcoholism, frequent use of medication like hormonal contraceptives contributes to obesity. Some contraceptives have high estrogen levels which can result in increased appetite and rapid weight gain. Therefore, alcohol consumption, lack of exercise and mobility, regular use of contraceptives with estrogen, and eating unhealthy food, may lead to obesity.
