The Holocaust themed dance performance
The dance performance by Kansas City is themed on remembering and honoring the holocaust survivors. It reminds the nation of the occurrence of the holocaust and gives evidence to those that doubted its occurrence that it actually happened. Such critical stories may fade from history. The horrible ordeal killed thousands of lives while others left with permanent physical and emotional scars. It is worth celebrating the survivors and those who got involved in saving the lives of others. Commending the heroic actions of the up-standers uplift the spirit of the people to be prepared for such occurrences; they risked their lives to save the victims. It pays tribute to the soldiers that sacrificed their lives in the World War 11 and leaders whose voices made a difference during the war (Widaman par. 3). The dance sensitizes people of the reality of the horrors and educates them on being prepared to tackle calamities. The dance performance intends to inform generations of the facts of the holocaust and the attitudes that preceded it.
The dance performance provides an opportunity for participants to acknowledge the killings of the innocent and sensitize Christians on the issues concerning the holocaust. Christians have the opportunity of expressing their solidarity and counter anti-Semitism. This is a march of unity focuses on bringing the nation together and eliminates differences. The survivors have a chance of sharing their stories.
