Rising UpThere is nothing that has much fun as having to recover from a series of consecutive losses or failures. I have realized that there is a reason for everything that happens in life. There is a reason why most of us pass through a series of failures, let downs and losses before finally making it to success. According to Forbes, failure in life is necessary, and it acts as a stepping stone to building our dreams (Walter 1). At least I can tell this from experience. This paper, therefore, is a personal narrative that demonstrates how I rose up after a period of continuous failure.
I like playing football, but I love winning. For me winning any football match gives me joy and I usually feel encouraged to play my next matches. On the contrary, losing a match would discourage me, break me down and further make me think that football is not the best for me. However, I learned a life lesson from the experience I had playing football during the previous season. We had a tournament whereby ten teams took part. We had expected great performance during the tournament. However, it turned out to be the worst season for us. We were beaten by almost every team. Notably, this was unlike us since in the previous years we had been the favorite team during any tournament. As such, we had the largest fan base in the region. So, you can imagine how hard it would be difficult for the fans to accept anything less than a win. During the last season, we almost lost all of them since, for the first time in ten years, we became the last team in a tournament.

Wait! Rising Up paper is just an example!

However, in the following season, things turned around, and my team was able to regain back the lost glory. After recording a bad performance during the previous tournament, as a team, we knew we had to do a lot to be able to win the following tournament. So, we embarked on serious training. I trained almost every day and night because I could not stomach the fact that we had lost the previous tournament and I also knew that my team depended on me since I was the striker, I had to score goals. When the next tournament began, we knew it from the start that it would be a great tournament for the team once again. We won all the matches except one in which we drew. I was the talk of the town since I played my role as a striker perfectly well, I scored goals. At the end of the season, we emerged the best team in the tournament. Of much importance, I was the top scorer and so was given the “golden boot.” From a series of failures, I rose up and won the tournament for my team.
