Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis
Summary
Hussein (2012) in his article The Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis Today states that the hypothesis proclaims the ability of language to impact peoples’ thoughts and perception. in his study, he aims at providing more insight on the fact that language has the power to influence how people think and perceive events in life. He captures his study of the Hopi literature and concludes that indeed various forms of linguistic cause different ways of linguistic thinking. Also, Obenauer (2011) in his article The Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis: The limits of our language are the limits of our thoughts supports the Sapir and Whorf ideology on the ability that language has on the way people think, perceive and create reality. His study concentrates on the relationship between Sapir-Whorf hypothesis and conceptualization of peace in different communities around the world. It is difficult to find a single word that can be used to describe peace, and as a result, Obenauer (2011) attempts to use Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis to prove the cause of variation in the concept of peace is because of variety in languages that people speak. In his analysis, he discovers that Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis provides an explanation why it is essential to have adjectives to quality and define peace such that people around the world can have a common ground when it comes to an understanding and conceptualizing the term peace.
Reaction
Based on the Hussein and Obenauer article, it is true that the language that people speak can shape the way they think and their view of the world.

Wait! sapir-whorf hypothesis paper is just an example!

Despite the many controversies that have risen to contest the Linguistic Relativity Hypothesis of Sapir and Whorf, several studies including Hussein’s and Obenauer have continued to support the effect of the hypothesis on several other fields such as Human psychology, Anthropology, Philosophy, and Sociology. People from different parts of the world behave and think differently, and the best explanation with approved and clear evidence relate to Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis. In this case, I agree with Sapir and Whorf that the language people speak influences the way they think and see the world.

I need to work a lot; that’s why I really didn’t have a single minute to focus on my thesis writing. These guys from Essay-samples are real saviors. I don’t know how they knew what my professor expected to receive, but they definitely succeeded.
