The next meeting Siemens Company is purposing to launch new CT scanners. The launch involves two systems that can increase the tablet-curbed symptoms to high price points. Vendors are also scheduled to portray a patient-positioning system that is automated. This system is created on a 3D camera which is on the scanning suite.
These scanners are aimed at enabling a workflow that is designed around computers which technologists use in controlling the functions of the scanner. This technology provides flexibility and ability to keep close to patients. In the marketing plan there are two systems, the symptom go. All and the symptom go. Top that is to be added. These systems are designed to perform more advanced duties such as the scanning of the cardiac and other interventional procedures that are CT-related.
The first system, all is a scanner with 64 slices while the go. Top system is a scanner with 128 slices with the two having 0.33 seconds as a gantry speed. The director of business management at Siemens, Christian Bernhardt says that the company believes that the workflow of the mobile invested in the two symptoms go scanners are expected to work well on the systems that are more advanced. There is anticipation that the management of contrast exams should be greatly improved. This will be achieved through the use of a contrast management application on their tablets.

This can be done while the injector is being set next to the patient. The technology at Siemens has accommodated activities which technologists may require to free all their hands when working.
The interventional procedures are just structured to work in the same manner as in the above technology. The tablet that is coming up will accommodate more complexities in procedures involved. This will see through such tasks as image-guided tests and cardiac procedures. The tablet will be able to control several actions of the scanner for it will be possessing a variety of new applications such functions as the ‘check and go for organ coverage’ will be easy to carry out with the new technology.
The regulatory clearances will determine whether the new go scanners will be there starting April to June 2018. The installed base sites with already functioning scanners need to be availed with tablet computers that have new applications and enhancements. The old somatom scanners; the somatom edge and somatom force will be acquiring new features. The second generation of the force scanner has gained a new, different look with new gantry covers and more features that are automated. One feature this scanner comes with is the cardiac scanning form the console of course which is followed automation. In addition, the system has new double x-ray tubes with the more improved focal spot.
The edge is set to be the company’s newly upgraded system known as the edge plus. Obese patients have something to smile about from the edge plus system. It is said the scanners have high power to scan patients suffering from obesity. It also has panels that enable technologists to stay closer to their patients. There is still more Siemens has to offer in their marketing plan for scanners.
The RSNA show scheduled to take place this year is one big event where the Siemens will be demonstrating a camera with 3D features that will be used to aid in positioning of patients. The camera will be set to work in a manner that it takes 2D images of patients above while recording information in 3Dabout the landmarks of the anatomy and the data concerning the size, weight, and height of the patient. The camera supplies the data to the scanner which utilizes it to ensure appropriate positioning of the patients. Topograms can also be planned using the camera in making sure the whole organ being scanned is covered well. The performance of the camera is improved all through because there is a machine-learning component present in the operating software which keeps the camera stays in a learning mode. This marks the greatest milestone at Siemens.
This camera will be on the new Edge Plus scanners, somatom drive scanners, and the new somatom force scanners. Upgrading will be on the installed base of Force and Drive customers with systems that have dual sources.
The SWOT analysis has the results of the Siemens marketing plan as follows;
Strengths
The company resides mostly in imaging technology. The latest advance in this is the cutting edge imaging. Additionally, Siemens can produce a good number of imaging options and is positioned a third seller of medical imaging equipment. In the main marketing plan, there is an education plan that includes on-site training, online coursework for technologists and classroom style training. About the history and experience of people involved this plan has some advantages especially, it comes to purchasing of new systems.
Weaknesses
There is the probability that Siemens may have treatment f patients based on the studies of diagnosis where incorrect data may lead the patient not getting the most required medical attention (Wilfred, 2012). When the company changes from Siemens healthcare to Siemens Healthineers, it does not give it more opportunities to explore the world of medicine because it should in future at some point relocate to its neutrality (Humphrey, 2015).
Opportunities
The opportunities Siemens have include chances to partner with other organizations, acquisitions, and most recognized new technology. The new technology will obviously boost its performance, and this will attract more interested companies to partner with Siemens (Osita 2014). Therefore, the partnership will get the company’s performance at a more competitive level than before hence boosting the general productivity of the entire company.
Threats
The Siemens Company might be in danger of suffering threats of healthcare reforms and the requirements as per the regulations. For example, there are increased rules and regulations on the radiation dose. Therefore, this becomes a threat to the company.
The recommended appropriate strategy for growth for Siemens Company will be one which incorporates all the values, objectives and visions. First, the company should center its focus on growth markets that are innovation driven (Humphrey, 2015). This will increase the value of the company because leading markets and technological positions will be attained and maintained in all businesses. The company needs to be flexible to adjust to any technological dynamics in the ever-changing technical business and medical environment (Prodhan, 2015. To keep a constant rate of performance, it equally has to invest in severe innovative strategies aimed at streamlining the system of the company as well as improving the productivity of the company while maintaining businesses.
