IntersectionalityIntersectionality according to Crenshaw’s work refers to the concept that explains how the reality of race and gender bias as forms of exclusion affect people creating more harm than good. Intersectionality plays a role in becoming a barrier to the success of black girls and women who often face challenges like single motherhood and low wage employment. When black women and girls are excluded from public dialogue, then they never get to air their grievances and present their interests. This means they cannot get solutions to their problems which could have steered them towards success. Black mothers often face bias and thus lack social and economic mobility which then consequently leaves many families exposed to both police and private violence (Murphy). This environment is not good for breeding success. Single black mothers find themselves in the financial crisis as they are stuck in jobs that pay virtually nothing and with no help whatsoever from society. This quagmire ensures that women and girls live in misery with very low chances of success.
These barriers can be permanently eliminated with several remedies that could be policies, personal actions or supports. The government should install policies in place that ensure that women and girls are included in all major public discussions so that they can present solutions to their problems (Murphy). There should be funds and sponsorships set in place for black women and girls who have economic problems but are interested in education.

Wait! Ted Talk paper is just an example!

Education is a sure way to success in the modern day world, and it should be made affordable for the black woman. Individuals in the job market should stop being bias against single black women and offer them good jobs as long as they are qualified. This will ensure they educate their daughters and children well to secure a successful future for them.
