Introduction
Maryellen Weimer, Ph.D., a retired Professor of Penn State recently depicted deep learning as the process of critically understanding and analyzing a subject with a goal of sharing it comfortably with peers. According to Briggs ‘it is the process of learning for transfer, meaning it allows a student to take what’s learned in one situation and apply it to another” (1). It is a multi-faceted approach that lets students develop independent thinking skills, become excellent communicators, and accomplish cultural diversity required in today’s life. Some of its paramount but long-neglected tenets are block scheduling and the long-term cumulative assessment. Every teacher and parent by now embraces the thorough understanding and analysis of the deep-seated American culture practices to develop self-awareness and excellent interpersonal relationship. Deep learning, once a pedagogical fantasy is becoming an indispensable necessity in teaching as it enables students to appreciate history as well as fit in today’s dynamic world, therefore, schools must embrace it.

The urge for students to appreciate their origin and home country comes naturally during growth. It is therefore always critical to expose them to the practices of the US to help them identify with their motherland, learn to account for some of the most prominent segments of that culture.

The more appreciative of the culture they get at a tender age, the more patriotic they become thus being law-abiding citizens. Through the appreciation of the struggles and the pains of the ancestors, they get a sense of citizenship and love for the country. Also, by exploring extensively the richly endowed and different heritages, they develop a touch of diverse- thinking that is crucial in maneuvering life and its challenges
Building connections
Local and regional historical data is just as crucial seeing as it enhances the creation of linkages within the community. For instance, random tours to museums, and other custom groups like festivals create an appreciation among the youths and even pushes them into the participation in such practices. Such involvements enhance personal growth and acknowledgment of traditions (Briggs 1)
Instill qualities like empathy and compassion
Conventionally, no parent would love to bring up emotionally detached children. In effect, schools incorporate all aspects of studies like the immigration story, the African American tales just to have a grip on the events that other ethnic groups have had to endure. Courses such as the 1900 slave trade, the poor living status of the undocumented immigrants, all let the student put themselves in the former’s shoes hence develop the sociological skills required in forming interrelationships in the society. These children also become aware and tolerant of other practices and learn to overcome racial barriers to foster excellent inter-personal skills.
Helps develop all-rounded individuals
The history of American is much profound than the simple theory that children learn in school. It entails extensive scholarly work like origin stories, event accounts, and schools that are crucial to a child. A detailed analysis of these segments helps boost the overall thinking capacity of an individual. Taking practical lessons like visiting the historic sites or creating models of the same imparts one with the skills and the capability required solving day-to-day challenges. Such individuals get to develop emotional intelligence as well as decision-making skills.
Conclusion
Intricate learning goes beyond the superficial class work of passive teaching. It entails comprehensive, inclusive, and analytical training methods with the aim of nurturing diverse and knowledgeable students. This in-depth analysis is critical when it comes to history studies as it offers students a comprehensive understanding of their origin. Hands-on involvement in research and analysis of historical artifacts also help nurture empathetic and brilliant people who are actively linked to their culture. The American history is complex and extensive. Thus its teachers must employ deep learning to ensure that students are exhaustively knowledgeable to become autonomous thinkers.
