The Museum of Science and Industry
Chicago is part of the common urban areas of Illinois is one of the largest cities in the United States of America with deep cultural ties associated with science and technology. The Museum of Science and Industry is a significant tourist attraction in the city and is a reflection of the technological theme that the region is known for globally. I had the chance to visit the premises located around the Hyde Park neighborhood as part of a class project. The museum has been part of my bucket list activities before graduation, and the assignment had given me the opportunity to traverse the various sections and witness the exhibits showcased firsthand. On that day, the excitement got me out of bed at the crack of dawn, and by around ten o’clock I was outside waiting to make my way through the main entrance (Pridmore 46). I was unsure of where I would start, but the premises has provided guides who take guest around the corridors explaining what has been showcased and the motivation behind the exhibit.
The MSI is one a class of its own when it comes to technology and offers answers to some of the technological wonders in the world. Furthermore, it takes the guest on a journey from the past to present through the artifacts displaced. Since I love the animation movies was particularly interested in the new addition given the title, The Science behind Pixar premised on the some of my favorite characters such as Dory, Wall-e and the Toy Story.

Wait! The Museum of Science and Industry paper is just an example!

However, the tour of the museum follows specific criteria that use to all the booths and just like the rest of the guest I had to be patient until we had reached the Pixar’s section. I finally realized why people in school insisted on visiting the establishment that has been in existence since the early 1900s. The majority of the main exhibits are an exert replica of the real thing, and this shows how big the size of the Museum of science and technology is to host such marvel such as the U-505 Submarine used by the Germans during the Second World War (Pridmore 12).
Additionally, the guide was keen on giving the history behind the exhibit =s and why they have attracted visitors from Chicago and abroad. There is a combination of permanent artifacts and temporary exhibits that run over a specified period such as the “The Science Behind Pixar” and the Art of the Bicycle that was an addition to the transportation gallery that the evolution of the transport industry from earliest means to those of the modern age. As I had planned before the trip, I spent moth the time at the iconic animation section. The interactive exhibit showcased the STEM concept incorporated in animating the toys from the natural objects to creatures with the same mobile function as human beings. We were taken through the filmmaking process and what happens behind the scenes before the final product is revealed to the billions of Pixar’s fans in the world.
The Pixar industry is the center of this art that has revolutionized the cartoon industry from the famous classic characters of the past. As an active film enthusiast, the Toy Story is by far the best animation sequel so far, and the museum gave me a different perspective on the expertise and technologies employed. The assignment was one of my best I throughput the year, and I am anxious for another of the same.
