The right to fail: ethics and morals

Ethics and moral

Ethics is related to the study of morals which is defined as “a set of beliefs, customs, values and norms of a person or a social group, which functions as a guide to act. That is, morality guides what actions are correct (good) and which are incorrect (bad) ”(definition.of, 2008). There is no doubt that these two concepts are very important not only for our daily lives but are also present in professionalism and business field.

From the moment we already have the ability to speak and express ourselves more, every day we face two paths: good and evil. One has its own criteria and ways to analyze and conclude which one, whether from something simple as when someone makes money from their pocket and deciding whether to tell that person or simply take that money justifying that he found it, orIt can be something more complex like judging someone who murders another person. What is the most ethical way to act in both cases?

Being ethical can become more complicated if in the second example we add that this person kill. If we put ourselves in the murderer’s place, we will think in one way and see it as an unknown person will make us think of another because when the problem is with us, we can even justify our actions.

Being ethical can be not so easy but not because one does not know how to be a good person but for the fact that we are not always right and not always in all cases we know how to react perfectly, as we know, we are beings that are wrong.

Wait! The Right To Fail: Ethics And Morals paper is just an example!

From my point of view, action should not always be judged but the intention since sometimes things are done with the best intentions thinking about doing well but not always these actions are the most ethical way for another.

If a person is not ethical, how can you expect this person to be an ethical professional or have a business taking into account ethics? If a person cannot differentiate what is right or wrong, I do not think that much can be expected from their professional ethics. I think that in the different educational institutions these ethics classes should be had, not only in college, but also since childhood, we should keep in mind since we are brought to the world. There are not always homes in which, since childhood, values are charged and the moral of children is formed, so I am necessary that in these institutions that most of our lives passes, ethics are quite mentioned.

There are several professional careers, so many specialties, several branches of study where ethics should also be part. We have lawyers who are in the world defending people who are not innocent, doctors who carry out surgeries with cheap materials regardless of the damages they can cause to their patients, or entrepreneurs who come to succeed in their businessociety and if they do, it is because they have to do it and do good should not be awarded or forced.

This leads us to mention what corporate social responsibility is;In the business world, CSR can be defined as “doing business based on ethical principles and attached to the law. The company (not the entrepreneur) has a role before society, before the environment in which it operates ”(World Bank, 2006). It is also understood that when doing CSR, a company must take into account the environment and the SDGs (sustainable development objectives). If we analyze the McDonald’s company, considering that I am Vegan, I can say that it performs several things that are counted as CSR, but the company sells products that are harmful to health and even products that contain meat, this could be considered ethical for some becauseHis CSR would justify his reason for being, but for others it is only a way to obtain an image in society that the company is doing good things.

As future ing. Commercial, I think that one should be an entrepreneurial individual with a very recognized professional ethic, so that he does not expect to have a business that affects society, but remedy it in some way with a CSR, but that the nature of the business alreadybe based on the improvement of society. If within social responsibility we have to be considered the environment, why are there companies that are dedicated to livestock and support these activities knowing that this activity is the most affecting our planet?

According to the 5 vertices of social responsibility, the values and principles are the soul of this, so, for me, CSR is a bit contradictory in reality and that, as mentioned above, is because we all have our own criteria andways to differentiate the good of the bad. It is contradictory that the nature of a company affects something and that it performs CSR to help improve something else.

Since we get up until we lay down, every day we face situations that have to do with ethics, as established primitively. It is our duty and commitment, as people, always try to do our best and do our best, if we think of society and the other person, perhaps we will change the world. It can be a bit utopian, but it is not impossible to live in a world where everyone can learn to live not only with others but also with the planet. We are not owners of this world and we should not decide who are more entitled to it.
