Utopia by Tomás Moro, Study

The word utopia is used to define an ideal society but is considered unattainable. This concept and definition comes thanks to an author named Tomás Moro and his book Utopia. The book consists of an island that society is evidently utopian, everything begins when King Utopo commended to shape the island cavando a pit. But the important thing on the island is not this, but the conception of innovative society that transmits us.

What characteristics does this society have?

It is mainly importantAnd later people go for what they need. This idea will favor communism. In addition to the search for equality, since regardless of the genre you have, you must work in the field of agriculture, but the free time you have can work for what you want to dedicate yourself. In fact all the inhabitants dress with the same type of clothing, so no one is superior or lower in this superficial aspect that we have in our society and that can qualify our social class. But there is a law that allows the worker’s owner to scourge if this shows a lazy attitude, so every citizen should be productive for the good of the community. It also shows an idea of communism as there are no social classes among Utopiamen, all belong to the agricultural sector. In addition there is a freedom of education for both men and women and it is encouraged to do citizens to focus on culture, instead of luxurious and superficial thought, since gold see it as a metal nothing valid, it was used tochain to prisoners.

Wait! Utopia By Tomás Moro, Study paper is just an example!

And to what religion refers, which has marked our society a lot both in economic, social and political aspects, the inhabitants have the freedom to choose in which God to believe and venerate. The only norm that is established is the obligation to respect the beliefs of others, but you don’t have to continue whose beliefs. How do atheism look? For this society atheism causes them fear when seeing that certain people do not believe that there is something beyond death and in this way they may not comply with the norms because they are not afraid of anything or believe in eternal punishment.

It is also important to know how they choose their leader, since there always has to be someone in command so that there is an order in society. The leader is chosen by the inhabitants, but the right to vote was only allowed for men of legal age, so is it an ideal society? Since only the right of man in this regard is taken into account, but we must take into account the mentality that was held at the time when Tomás Moro wrote his book. A sifogrant for each family is structured, and all the inhabitants choose four candidates. Of these four candidates, the Sifographrants have to choose one to be the prince of the island and this will only lose the position in case he performs a tyrant’s own actions. A feature that also highlights is that the division of the territory was equitably distributed and not through a war and stealing it to the enemy.

We can see if we are located in the time of Moro, that his thought and writing breaks with the ideas of that time. Keep in mind that he was also a man linked to the Catholic Church.
