The Deep State
The term “Deep state” a Turkish phrase meaning ‘derin devlet’ was coined in Turkey. Secrecy and surveillance characterise this invisible or shadow government. The government is hiding the existence of the deep state that is involved in manipulating the government policy because of the powerful and wealthy forces who are behind it. The deep state has made it impossible for elected leaders to deliver their campaign promises.
According to the (Judicial Watch 3), the deep state includes” political appointees, civil servants, liberal media, and private contractors who exercise control and run the government no matter who is the president or what the will of the people is.” The deep state rejects the true will, believe and values of the patriotic people and tends to direct them where they do not desire to go. The deep state has the power to destroy any president who threatens its interests and existence. The government does not want to tell its people that the deep state exists and it is permanent. The deep state is determined to undermine the rule of law.
To prevent the deep state, the secrecy that undermines both the rule of law and the provisions of the constitution should be brought to an end. There should also be a commitment to expose and fight for transparency from all the sectors, for instance, the media, elected officials, department of security and treasury (Judicial Watch 38).
The use of private encryption software known as signal that is used by federal officials and employees should be abolished as it acts as a hindrance because the federal agencies cannot fulfil their record keeping and transparency obligations.

There is need to penetrate the coverings of all the ongoings and secrecy that safeguards the actions of those who comprise the deep state.
To end the deep state, it is also essential that a lawfully elected official such as the president is fully supported to accomplish the will of the people. The public should also be given an opportunity to access government records inside the intelligence and law enforcement agencies. It is possible to kill the deep state by fighting for transparency and ending the secrecy that undermines democracy and government policy.
