Abstract
The study of evidence-based practice is very effective in several ways for both o the patients and the nurses. To the patients, it help them get the recommended treatment and also the patients don’t have to take long in the healthcare since there is an appropriate prescription done to them. Whereas to the nurses, however, the EBP give them the opportunity to carry out the required treatment using the appropriate medicine. It is also noted that the knowledge obtained from the training on the EBP course can be used by an individual to create awareness in the society concerning the symptoms that need to be observed on some chronic diseases. And once the awareness is created, the patient can seek medical attention during the early stages of the disease when it can be prevented from developing. The awareness can also be through the prevention of a given disease by the observation of diet and lifestyle.
Keywords: EBP, healthcare, disease, patients
Having undergone through the nursing research and the evidence-based practice course, I would like to put this knowledge to practical use through implementation in the community where I reside as well as the healthcare where I interact with most of the patients having different problems (Majid et al., 2011). I would ensure that all the medication that I perform involve the use of a practical approach where the decision making is done consistently through the application of the integrative approach.

Wait! Where Do You Go From Here? paper is just an example!

I would also make sure that I bring change to the attitude of most nurses concerning the application of the evidence-based practice in healthcare. Even though the nurses know that it is important when the EBP is used to treat patients, most of them hate using the approach, therefore, the reinforcement through offering advice to these nurses and enlightening them on how to apply the EBP will be effective and it will give the nurses the opportunity to handle the patients with effective decision effectively.
In addition, the knowledge I have acquired from the EBP study will be used to understand the steps that I should take when prescribing drugs to the patients I’m handling. And also I will apply the knowledge on the dangerous diseases like diabetes, cancer, hypertension and many other diseases (Majid et al., 2011). This will give me the opportunity to cure the patients suffering from these problems at early stages before the disease reaches its maturity stage. Similarly, I will initiate an awareness program in the community. This will involve teaching most of the people in the community concerning some of the diseases and the main symptoms they should put into consideration whenever an individual might be suffering from a particular disease such as diabetes and any other chronic disease that can be prevented in its early stages.
