Why the declaration of independence relevant today
Declaration of Independence is an essential document in the American history because it reminds the people of Independence in 1776. The declaration set them free from the English colonizers. In the second paragraph of the Declaration of independence, it majorly advocates for equality to all men because they have been created equally (Jefferson). The declaration also goes on and states that the creator has given us rights that the creator has given us the reasons that are impossible to take away. The rights include the rights to life, liberty and the hounding of happiness.
Nobody is allowed to threaten the life of another person because it is against the law. The right to life is in article two of the Human Rights Act. The right means that even the government cannot attempt to end your life. It also says that the government to safeguard life should make protective laws that protect one’s life from risks. The right to liberty assures freedom from political force. It is the fifth article of the human rights act. Article nine of the Universal declaration which was implemented advocates for our security and liberty from detention, arbitrary arrest or exile that is by obscure provision means.
Lastly, the happiness pursuit, which is present in Declaration of Independence, is a chase after what subjectively makes you happy. Naturally, it is one’s wellbeing. We celebrate happiness international on March 20. The day is as a result of a UN resolution which was adopted in 2012.
