The speech to be analyzed is “Toward an Open Global Economy” which was delivered by Xi Jinping, who is the President of the People’s Republic of China. This analysis will be done according to a set of guidelines. Firstly, we have the aspect of the speaker not trying to overestimate what the audience knows. In line with this, the speaker in every instance was able to go into details of every fact that he was providing. For instance, he was able to bring into light what the China economy is pursuing and how this is helpful to the international and local markets. This is important as the audience will be able to grasp what you are trying to relay to them. Secondly, the speaker has to relay the topic or subject directly to the audience. Through this, the audience will be able to comprehend the message being passed across, and as such, appreciate. This part was done with a lot of passion considering the person delivering the speech was the President himself of the People’s Republic of China. Therefore, he had some good points to put across concerning the globalization impact and the nature of the open global economy with regards to China and other associated countries.
Thirdly, throughout the speech, there was no evidence of abstractions as the speech stuck to facts and a whole load of information that proved useful to the audience. Fourthly, the technicality aspect of the speech was a down low as it had a good flow of ideas and information.

Additionally, the speaker eased up the audience by referring to them quite a number of times throughout the speech as “Friends.” This is important as it provided more room for the audience to feel comfortable and get rid of any complexities or technicalities. However, even though the speech had some technical words, the audience was very capable of comprehending. Finally, on the aspect of personalizing ideas and being creative, the speaker was able to refer to China as more of a pond than an ocean, and this helped the audience get a picture of how the facts and figures were relating.
