Computer devices have been susceptible to attacks in the recent years. The malware, virus, and Trojan attacks are a concern that needs a critical address. With different antivirus software in the market, there is a need to have a critical comparison of the pricing and features that help recognize the best antivirus software. This paper compares Bitdefender Antivirus Plus and Avira Security Suite based on their prices, and the features they provide.
Bitdefender Antivirus Plus has tight security checks that protect devices from malware, virus, and Trojan attacks. The 2019 version further protects its users from phishing schemes, and rootkits. According to the latest reviews and research-based evidence, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2019 detects and blocks users from visiting malicious web pages (Stiborek 347). The software further includes passwords manager and banking platforms. The two platforms help users protect their personal information, passwords, and account numbers. A review by online users acknowledges that the virus enables virtual private network (VPN) to allow online operations without third parties tracing their histories (Stiborek 358). On pricing package, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2019 has a one-year package that will enable users to connect three devices at $29.99. The second option is to connect five devices at an annual cost of $44.99. The third option allows users to have advanced protection with Windows computers at the expense of $40.

Unlike Bitdefender, Avira Security Suite tries to block automatic virus download to your computer but moves the threats to its quarantine file. Secondly, it offers high-level protection to suspicious sites because it integrates a system vulnerability scanner. The scanner identifies and protects your devices against suspicions unlike Bitdefender that only warns. While the two software has VPN integrated into the setting, Avira Security Suite allows manual VPN installation (Kadir et al. 47). Thirdly, Avira Security Suite has launched a personal firewall to enable secure browsing. Unlike Bitdefender, Avira Security Suite has two pricing packages. The first package is the free security suite that allows users to use the software freely but with limited protection. The second option is the Avira Prime allowing what the company terms as ‘VIP Access’ at the cost of $7.99 monthly.
Conclusion
Both the viruses offer high technology scanning features to protect users against attack. However, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus is the best option to invest when looking for protection against different levels of vulnerability. Secondly, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus performs well when blocking malware, both virus downloads, and malicious attacks.
