Banning of talking or texting on a cell phone while driving is dangerous and puts drivers at four times greater risk of a crash. Furthermore, the studies indicate that the use of the cell phone is one of the leading cause of automobile accidents. Majority of these accidents are caused by younger people below the age of twenty-five (Caird, Johnstn, Willness, Asbridge & Steel 2014). Many young people support the idea of using a hands-free cell phone without knowing that whether the driver is talking or texting he or she is just as distracted by the conversation. Although many drivers know the dangers of driving while engaging with a cell phone, drivers still use them with an excuse of the cellphone enabling him or her to keep in touch when an emergency issue occurs (Caird et al., 2014). In this speech, various adverse incidents caused by using a cell phone while driving will be outlined intensively. The use should be entirely banned because the evidence state that it can create significant distractions harm to the driver and the passengers and it also shows a negative influence on young teenagers.
Cellphone distractions cause serious incidents of car crashes. This scenario is seen when the driver is on the phone, they have a lower percentage or reacting on the brakes lights, stoplights and once the driver brakes he will take a longer time to regain the traffic flow, than the other drivers on the road (Klauer et al.

, 2014). A case study is seen when a young girl is driving from school at 53 miles per hour and suddenly her cell phone rings. The young girl will reach out to answer the phone, she looks up and is shocked to see that she is about to hit a car ahead. As expected, she will slam the breaks of the car just in time to avoid hitting the vehicle ahead (Klauer et al., 2014). Drivers who allow themselves to be disrupted, by engaging in multitasking like the use of a cell phone as we have seen, puts the lives of the pedestrians, passengers and himself at the risk of death because their concentration is still broken and way from the road.
The youths are more prone to road accidents than older people because they are addicted to the use of cell phones, a reckless action that might lead to death (Klauer et al., 2014). Most of the times they are on their cell phones regardless of the situation. This irresponsible behavior leads to serious harm to the lives of people on the roads when the cell phone is used while driving — the number of deaths that have occurred in the recent years where the lives of pedestrians, drivers and passengers is ridiculous (Caird et al., 2014). It is hurting when you lose a loved one when the cause of the accident is a reckless driver who used a cell phone while driving. These drivers also may live with a burden in their hearts after a crash has that has killed someone (Klauer et al., 2014). Also, the accidents claim the proper functioning of somebody by maiming or ending up with disabilities which were not there at the beginning such as loss of sight and hearing.
In conclusion, banning the use of cell phone while driving has proven that there is a change in the driving culture. The banning has been shown to reduce the rate of disruption in the roads and fatal accidents on our roads. In the recent years, the number of crashes reduced by a large percentage after the youth were intensively informed about the issue and finally everyone would want to travel on our roads while enjoying the beautiful sceneries which can be encouraged by no using the cellphones while driving.
