The nursing professional organizations play a major role in the policy development. I belong to the world health organization. There are several ways in which the organization influences the policy development of the nation and that of the world at large. For instance, it is the nurses that interact with the clients and in this case the patients. And therefore, they know the policies that when put in place can result in the success of nursing activities (Kunaviktikul 2).
Nurses influence the activities that should be put as the policies that are used in the health sector. These policies are normally aiming at the betterment of the lives of patients as well acquiring a better working condition for nurses. In the policy development, however, nurses ensure that they put into consideration an emphasize on the educational curriculum that can help in the production of well-informed personnel (nurses) in the health sectors (Arabi and Ghiyasvandian Np). For instance, providing more information about diseases that cause much danger to the patients and possible ways in which patients need to be handled when at some critical conditions. And also the organization contributes in the policy development to bring some changes in the management of nurses and also to adjust some of the privileges that should be enjoyed by nurse. This, therefore, makes the nurses productive in their areas of work.
The organization also helps in the regulation and the moderation of prices of most of the health equipment and facilities used in the hospitals (Burke Np).

They ensure that the suppliers provide these materials and facilities at fair prices in different countries in the world and therefore moderating the expenditures made by the hospitals.
