A trait is a critical factor in nursing. Attributes determine the success of a hospital as patients tend to be attracted to nurses with good attitudes, intrinsic qualities, acquired skills and personal characteristics. All the given traits in the four categories are essential in nursing; however, the following can be singled out from each group as directed:
Hard work ethics, caring and reasonable are three traits in the class of attitudes that stands out for any successful nurse. They must be very hard working since the hospital set up is a busy place that requires a person with hard work ethics to survive. Throughout the world nurses are known for the care work that they give to patients hence a good nurse must be a caring person. Nursing is a significant career where every choice made may have dangerous results; therefore, a nurse must be a very reasonable person as reason inform choice.
Intrinsic qualities such as dedication, trustworthiness, and reliability are very vital for any nurse. A leader in any field should be dedicated in her work to lead. Also patient needs a nurse that they can trust with their health and life. Nurse leaders must demonstrate that trustworthiness among all the stakeholders in the hospital. They should also be very reliable in a way that they can offer leadership and direction wherever there is a need.
Acquired skills such as excellent communication, professionalism and decisiveness are most essential traits of a nurse leader.

Nurses leaders have to make tuff decisions. It requires that they be decisive. Communication is critical in any career and, therefore nurse leaders must demonstrate skills that are understandable by the patients.
Personal traits such as mentoring attitude, responsive to people and ability to motivate others are very central to nursing leadership. A nurse must be a person who responds to other people since the patients need their assistance always. These traits best define me as a person who is a mentor, responsive to ideas, caring, excellent communicator, decisive and dedicated.
