Chapter 2 Question
Since Franklin D. Roosevelt was president, the question of the public policy pressing the United States has been a great debate. Current United States President, Donald Trump states that “For too long, a small group in our nation’s capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost” (Aisch and Parlapiano, 2017). The United States has been suffering from income inequality for a long time, and the only people who benefit are the 1% and the 0.1% in society. The nation has flourished, but it is not everyone who seems to benefit, as the majority of society struggles to fight for resources that are not enough to satisfy the needs of the American people. The Obama administration also experienced the same issue of inequality which according to Obama was the reason America was the cause of the federal debt (Aisch and Parlapiano, 2017). He promised to come up with a way to compromise to reduce the nation’s deficit.
For a long time, the most fundamental division in the United States government has been federalism which involved allocation of powers between the state and federal governments. Dividing government brought about people having different preferences on what is good for the American people. Federalism meant that there were functions that performed by the central government alone while others belonged to the local government. That meant that a limited number of functions would be left for the federal government.

Wait! Chapter 2 Question paper is just an example!

This division has been twisted by the current government to fit their personal needs. The current government has individuals who create policies that only benefit the people at the top while everyone else suffers (Aisch and Parlapiano, 2017). They make tax cuts that continue to make the rich richer as they are the only ones who get the revenue profits.
