Coaching Objective Report
The research article by Wang and Straub (2012) investigated the techniques of coaching adopted by Anson Dorrance, one of the world’s most successful coaches. Anson Dorrance has coached several football clubs in America. In his coaching practice, he led Tar Heels to win 21 out of 31 NCAA Women’s Soccer Championships. He has also been awarded the medal for the coach of the year for female soccer in the United States for seven years. He was also soccer coach of the year in 1987 for men. According to the article, the success of Anson’s coaching career relates to his personal and team objectives, and the relationship he builds with the players.
The main objective of the coach’s approach to team performance is the need to create a competitive team environment. He believes that team members can best perform if their environment concentrates on competitive aspects. Another objective is to apply the best leadership style that works out for every team. In his career as a coach, he believed that he could not use a single style for all the team. The third objective revolves around the development of elite athletes from every team that he coached. Finally, the coach’s fourth objective is to develop elite coaches out of his teams. He believed that the athletes would not serve as players for a lifetime.
The most interesting of all the objectives that drove coach Anson’s career is the need to apply different leadership skills for each team.

Wait! Coaching Objective Report paper is just an example!

Having served as a coach in both male and female soccer clubs in the United States, he believed that every team was unique. A tactic that works for team A would not necessarily work for team B. He, therefore, had to understand the players both at a personal level and at the team level to devise the most applicable leadership style (Wang & Straub, 2012). This objective was responsible for his career success as a coach.
