Cold war USA vs Soviet Union

During the World War II, the United States of America and the Soviet Union were allied forces in fighting to repulse the powers of the Axis forces. However, during the fighting there was a tense relationship between the two countries. The reason being the tense fighting between them was probably because the USA was wary of the Communist state of the Soviet Union and particularly the leader of Soviet Joseph Stalin who ruled with iron fist and blood thirst. The Soviet Union, on the other hand, had bitter feelings earlier before on the United States for their failure to honor their legitimacy and entry into the international community. Their bitter feeling was also as a result of the USA delayed entry to the Second World War that ended up with many Russians being killed. After the end of the Second World War, there was mutual antagonism and mistrust between the two nations and the expansion of Soviet Union along the East Europe fueled the fears over the United States that the Soviet Union was planning to control the world. Russia, on the other hand, declined to accept the American build-up of arms and intervention operation nicknamed bellicose rhetoric. In that situation, both parties were entire to blame. The fact that the Soviet Union were expanding along the Eastern Europe and their bitterness for the US arms buildup and intervention, the fact that Americans feared the Soviet expansion and were harsh about Soviet bitterness on Bellicose rhetoric in international relations made cold war almost inevitable.

So many opinions may arise as to who was exactly responsible for the Second World War yet it seems either part of the party was responsible. It is evident for example that the Soviet Union was responsible for the cold war because of Stalin and his predecessors’ military expansionism approach. America had to take it as a defensive mechanism since the Soviet leaders were determined to impose communism in the world and would have resulted to surrender and decline of the west. It is also evident that the cause of cold war may have resulted from the Second World War. America would be blamed for dropping atomic bombs on Japan as a way of telling them to surrender and later on trying to set up arms buildup and approach system in the international relations was a pure act of hypocrisy and the Soviet Union and their imperial appetite for power would not allow such. The results may have led to the cold war. Soviet Union leaders had the imperial appetite for power. They had decided not to let themselves be behind the United States of America thus decided to expand and impose their communist ideologies along Europe. The results may have fueled fear and mistrust between them and the Americans who in turn decided to campaign for the bellicose rhetoric approach in overseeing interventions in case of arms buildup around the globe as a way to prevent Soviet from building arms to fight them. Consequently, the cold war may have resulted from the different ideologies and interest between the two nations and catalyzed by complete miscommunication and lack of diplomacy. Cultural differences of the leaders of the two nations and justifications of expansion of communism from the Soviet leaders may have been the cause of the Cold War. So many critics from both sides of the divide have come up with contrary opinions as to whom and what was the cause of the cold war.
