Comparison Essay
Photographs are one of the perfect means of reminding ourselves of the past (O’Neill 1). I love taking pictures of myself or an event I get involved in to be able to remind myself of a particular memory I consider crucial in my life. Therefore, this paper seeks to provide a critical analysis and an interpretation of some of my pictures and those of one of my classmates.
As earlier mentioned, I took the pictures to remind me of particular events I got involved. Therefore, I took the pictures as a means of storing specific memories. The photographs portray an image of me having fun with my friends or family members or alone. In other words, the photographs contain an image of me having fun either alone or in the company of my friends or relatives. In this regard, the photos describe how outgoing and fun loving I am.
Just like me, I believe my classmate took the pictures to keep a record of particular memories. Notably, this is because the photographs contain memorable details. The photos portray the images of my classmate having fun; and in the photographs, whether alone or in a group of friends/relatives, it is apparent that he is having fun as smiles can be seen all over the face(s). Undoubtedly, it is apparent from the pictures that my classmate too is fun-loving.
Notably, I chose this particular classmate’s pictures as they tend to relate with mine in one way or the other. First, our pictures are similar in that we have the same preferences for bright colors.

Wait! Comparison Essay paper is just an example!

Secondly, the pictures tend to record memories of us having fun. For these reasons, I tend to relate to these pictures. However, our photographs are different in the sense that we use different imageries and settings.
Remarkably, I chose to compare my photographs to those of this particular student as we both tend to love fun and taking photos in beautiful scenes. I love taking photos because the process is simple and does not take much of one’s time. However, I found the process of looking at my classmate’s photographs more engaging as it was difficult establishing or picking out the best photographs out of all her photos. Unquestionably, my photos and those of my peers tend to relate to the assignment since both the photos and the assignment involves creativity. While the assignment involves creative thinking, the photos involve being creative to end up with a beautiful photograph; the more creative an individual is, the more beautiful his or her photos.
In conclusion, it is apparent that photographs are a perfect means of recording memories of a past event. Notably, this fact has been evident from the comparison of my photographs to those of my classmate’s. The images have evidenced that taking photographs needs a particular level of creativity and that just like me, my classmate loves fun.
