I Smart Store
I smart store is a multinational e-business that deals with electronic technological products like smartphones, personal computers, iPhones, and iPads. The company is a franchise dealing only with Apple products. Dealing with Apple products requires the store to acquire approval from the company to operate as an authorized reseller. Further, the company requires the dealers to purchase at least one hundred thousand dollars in equipment each year. The business will operate as both a retailer and wholesaler distributing the products across the globe.
FUNCTIONS OF THE ORGANIZATION
First, it is important for me as the store owner to carry out intensive research about the market and the environment in which my business is operating. The research is carried out by outsourced qualified personnel. The exercise requires me as the entrepreneur to compensate the personnel. The expenses are offset from the business profits (Archer 1).
Secondly, the store requires the starting capital that will help acquire the resources needed to keep it running. I am required to source the capital from personal savings, family and friends, financial institutions and other private lenders. Failure to take into account the financing exposes the business to the risk of failure (Archer 1).
Thirdly, the store will require employees to perform tasks like receiving calls from the customers and delivering the products where required. Employees are the backbone of the organization. It is therefore important for me to ensure that I recruit employees with the best skills.

Qualified employees ensure the company’s success (Archer 1). The employees ensure that customers are satisfied and that all organizational functions are performed as required.
The fourth function of the organization is coming up with different departments, for example, the marketing department. The departments require that the manager subdivide the tasks of the organization. The function ensures that there is a clear line of duties expected from each department. A single department handles all tasks with similar characteristics.
Finally, after recruiting the right people to perform the jobs, I am tasked with ensuring that all departments in the organization coordinate with each other. For example, the procurement department has to coordinate with the sales department to ensure that all orders by the customers are met (Archer 1). The exercise demands that I acquire management skills. It also requires having an effective management information system.
Conclusion
The human resource function is the most important of the organizational functions. Human resource deals with recruiting employees and breaking down their tasks. As such, it is the function which determines the success of the business.
