In modern times, the style of leadership one use to manage employees in a group, or business settings determined the pace at which the objectives are achieved. The reason for this is that leadership determine how the communication, operations, and logistics are streamlines. More importantly, it determines the decisions are making process, and the way conflicts are handled. Serving as a human resource manager has led to a realization that I tend to win other people and persuade them into commitments the achieved ideas. Therefore, I consider charismatic leadership to be my style reinforced by collaboration approach to resolving the disputes when they occur for they help address the needs of everyone and reach a common understanding of issues.
Unlike other leadership styles, charismatic style is characterized by the ability to persuade other people to support a certain course. Consequently, a leader can easily get his ideas accepted by others (Spahr, 2016). However, it is always important to ensure that their concerns are addressed and wishes granted (Warden, 2012). The most popular aspect of my leadership style is the way I influence my fellow workers with charm-like effects. Most have confessed that they always find themselves submitting to my ideas in almost all situations. In return, I always ensure that we identify common grounds together and everyone is comfortable with the decision we make. My ability to connect with my fellow employees and desire to keep them loyal and supporting has always been a determinant when it comes to resolving disputes.

Therefore, I ensure that the two conflicting parties talk out their differences and they reach a common understanding through collaboration. Unlike other styles such as accommodating and compromising, the collaboration style of conflicts management ensures that the needs of all people are met through cooperation and presentation of all alternatives. Consequently, everyone is heard and involved in determining the best course of action (Brisk, 2013). Although charismatics and collaborative styles have proved effective in most cases, they have their limitations. The collaboration style of conflict resolution is time-consuming and sometimes ineffective when people involved are not interested in a collaboration. Similarly, charismatic leadership has limitations due to the employees’ dependency on the leader (Spahr, 2016). Also, such leaders usually become arrogant and mistreat the employees who fail to fall into the trap of their charms.
In conclusion, both charismatic style of leadership and the collaboration style of conflict resolution are effective when dealing with employees. They ensure that the needs and well-being of everyone in a group or organization are prioritized in a friendly and professional manner. However, they both have limitations. Therefore, it is important to rely on the employees to overcome the challenges of the two styles.
