Introduction
Ideally, a wider range of factors influences the decision on whether or not to procure abortions. Irrespective of individual’s position on the issue, it is believed that the implication of abortion on one’s life makes one contemplate many factors. Therefore, the study examines the influence of education background, cultural values, physical health as well as predictions about long and short-term consequences of abortion.

Observably, studies by the American Counseling Association (2014) show that various factors dictate decisions on abortion. Firstly, it is realized that cultural values stand better chances of influencing the decisions reached on abortion. For instances, in societies where the minors are not allowed to have children, one would be forced to procure an abortion. Indeed, the force behind abortion would be influenced by the need to protect the societal norms and integrity (Röhrs, 2017).
Secondly, physical health is a contributing factor in the decisions to perform an abortion. In many cases, individuals whose health cannot sustain pregnancy up to the delivery time might have no option but to procure an abortion. Notably, where the pregnancy puts the life of the parent at risk, an abortion would be recommended to save the life of the mother from the danger that might come on delivery time. Here, abortion would be accepted because the expectant mother is considered important than the unborn (American Counseling Association, 2014).

Thirdly, benefits arising from education and work have high chances of influencing decisions of abortion. Unlike the uneducated person who might feel comfortable with the whole period of pregnancy, the educated person competing for job market will think the opposite. In many cases, education and work will force such individuals to perform an abortion in readiness to perform their work without any disturbances. Lastly, short-term decisions such as postponing child childbearing influences abortion (Röhrs, 2017). Notably, temporary factors like financial instability may influence one to postpone childbearing through abortion to get a family that one can easily handle.

According to Röhrs (2017), clients’ background such as age, religion and socioeconomic status dictate the degree in which the determinants of abortion apply. For instance, individual’s education might rely on the background information of age, forcing one to abort so that she can continue her education to the highest level possible. Here, one would be viewed as a minor whose desire to achieve education can be realized by procuring an abortion (American Counseling Association, 2014).
Besides, individual’s background of socioeconomic status creates a stronger impact on education as a factor that influences client’s decisions regarding abortion (Röhrs, 2017). Arguably, education stands as a bargaining power for abortion because one views it as the influencer of economic power. To such extent, one is convinced of achieving education and power by procuring an abortion to remain free and ready to concentrate on academics for better future.
Additionally, depending on the cultural background such as religion, cultural values may have a stronger impact on client’s decision on abortion. Such influence is brought by fact that societies are controlled by values that determine how individuals behave. Moreover, religious values form societal norms that may give directions on how to go about the issue of abortion. For instance, it would be difficult for societies influenced by Christianity to accept an abortion easily without proper channel because the religion equates the act with murder (Röhrs, 2017).
Conclusion
Abortion is one of the widely discussed topics. Whether one supports abortion or not, many factors determine individual’s decisions. As discussed, physical health considerations, cultural values, educational background as well as predictions about short- and long-term consequences of abortion form major factors that influence the decision to perform an abortion. Moreover, the cultural background such as age, age, religion, gender and socioeconomic status assigns strength and importance to the various factors that influence abortion.
