Throughout the course, I have had the opportunity to enhance my logical thinking ability significantly. First of all, the course gave me notable exposure to the construction of good arguments. Often, people may assume that good argument constitute the ability to defend one side of a debate over the other. However, the course has enabled me to learn that a reasonable proposition does not necessarily refute the assertions of the other side of the debate (Almagor, Boker, & Kupferman, 2016). Instead, a good argument possesses the ability to present the claims involved in developing arguments to support the desired side of a debate and are based on sufficient reasoning that can adequately defend the incorporated claims. Also, being able to evaluate the quality of thinking has enhanced my source identification skills as I can select articles that sufficiently support the suppositions I wish to present.
When working on the assignments, I argued about whether or not abortion is morally permissible. Reasonably considering various perspectives enabled me to clarify where I stand based on the claims provided to support each side of the debate (Almagor, Boker, & Kupferman, 2016). Although a biased consideration of a single side can contribute to the generation of many arguments, they may not be strong enough to overcome criticism. Therefore, a fair review of both sides tends to facilitate the development of undisputable propositions supported on high-quality reasoning.

Following my experience, I can advise people to engage in a fair consideration of topics to contribute to a better understanding of a discussion. Similarly, a fair contemplation helps one acquire a better and in-depth comprehension of an issue (Almagor, Boker, & Kupferman, 2016). Other values I have learned from the course are focusing on equality to minimize biased reasoning and the development of one-sided arguments that can easily be opposed by the other side of the case.
