Critical Thinking to Solve Your Daily Problems
Critical thinking refers to the process of analyzing events and facts objectively to come up with a rational judgment. The fact that critical thinking entails corrective thinking, discipline, self-monitoring, and self-directive makes it useful in problem-solving (Hereford 1). To solve the daily problems I have always employed critical thinking since it enables me to make the right decision which is risk-free and at the same time the decision that benefits me significantly. Currently, I need a laptop, and I am not sure which one to buy. I have to think critically to ensure that I buy a laptop which will serve all my needs and is durable.
Notably, there are many brands of laptops in the market that are all good. In my mind, I have been thinking of buying HP, Samsung, Lenovo or Toshiba. I feel that all these brands are unique and their specifications meet my needs. As such, I have to rule out, three of these laptops and buy one brand. This has become a problem which I need to solve critically. I have therefore decided to employ a systematic process to make the right choice about the type of laptop that I will buy.
Since I have already identified the problem, I will look at the different perspectives on how I can handle it. For instance, looking at their features such as the processor, Lenovo and Toshiba have a low processing power, and therefore, I will rule them out. I will then look at other aspects and try to figure out the laptop which has the best in everything and is within my budget.

I will look at the laptop which has a relatively bigger storage. In this case, HP has 1 terabyte, and Samsung has 700 gigabytes. Thinking out critically, the best laptop that will be useful to my needs is HP.
Another problem that I have is to assign sections of tasks to my team members. Since I am a group leader at school, I have to ensure that I assign the sections objectively to score good marks. To that note, I will first analyze the strengths and weaknesses of all team members. I will group the members into those who are good at calculations, theory, formatting, and other areas. This will enable me to ensure that all team members have been assigned tasks which they are good at. After every member has finished their part of the assignment, I will request them to take the rest of the team through what they found out. This will enable all of us to learn and benefit from the group works.
