Deconstructing Apocalyto
Ardren Traci, twenty-first-century reinventions of Alexander, xerxes and jaguar paw: a critique of Apocalypto and popular media depiction of the past, archaeological review from Cambridge, vol. 24 2009 print.  
The journal provides an analysis of a film Apocalypto which depicts a young character Maria Isidra making an appealing prophecy to the captives as they ended towards crumbling. The film, however, brought criticism that could not serve as an apology to Apocalypto.
