On the other hand, only presidential elections can change the prime minister in a presidential system. In addition, the two systems differ in ways of electing their leaders. A parliamentary system does not allow the entire nation to vote for executive leaders; only a few people who are given the privileges to vote the prime ministers. In a presidential system, the whole nation should participate in electing executive leaders by name.
Moreover, parliamentary system allows gives the elected legislature the mandate to take the roles of executive in a government; they are allocated starting with the top spot among the available cabinet posts. On the side of presidential system, the executive leaders are elected into their specific positions in the nationwide elections. The other fact that makes presidential election more unique is that their election date is set and unchangeable. Unlike the presidential system, in the parliament system the date of election is adjustable and can be placed in any day. The approach leaves a conclusion that the setting of date in a parliament system is chosen to favor some individuals who want to be in power.
In conclusion, considering all the issues addressed in a parliamentary system starting with the opposition parties, how the election date is changed and the aspect of electing executive leaders shows that the USA is better of remaining with the current government system. Their system allows people to participate in a transparent election where all leaders are voted in by the majority and later given powers. The president can work and address issues relating to people’s welfare without much pressure. In a parliamentary system, the minority can be a challenge in case they form a third, fourth or fifth parties which gives it much power and influence. In a presidential system, a third party vote is a waste of vote since it has no impact to the normal running of the daily government activities.
