Introduction

When talking about positive leadership as the main agent to transform, it is essential to make a direct relationship with emotional intelligence. Variety of authors discuss and have concluded that "emotional intelligence is positively related to the transformation of leadership and group reward" Barling et al. 

Then authors such as Palmer et at the conclusion that emotional intelligence is strongly related to the transformation of different types of leadership, Abraham found that emotionally intelligent people have a high commitment to their organizations and therefore high performance.  Others, in conclusion, say that definitely with a good management of emotional intelligence will help leaders to make decisions more easily, as well as solve problems with more awareness, recognizing the environment and context; Knowing their emotions will have the ability to find opportunities to take risks positively impacting their team.

In the same order of ideas, it is important to define emotional intelligence and then understand how positive leadership influences. For Goleman, emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize our own feelings and those of others, to motivate us and to properly manage relationships. The term emotional intelligence is paradoxical because it contains two terms "intelligence" that is objective and "emotions" that is subjective.

  2. Auto Motivation: Always be aware of what the goals to be achieved, the objectives set with a vision of trust, optimism and creativity.
  3. EMPATHY: It is important that the leader relates to his team, interact not only to words but with emotions, using body language that causes to improve and advance the environment in which he is found.
  4. Social skills: be assertive, conflict management, relationships with others. In an organization or any field, the leader must enhance their way of relating, building affective ties that connect to who they are dealing with being more productive and obtaining more optimal results.

Emotional intelligence plays a fundamental role in the management of difficult situations, crisis or conflicts, it is a tool that will help people, especially leaders to be more productive and prone to be effective in their life and consequently to be more successful. This is why, today companies are not only taking into account the intellectual coefficient that a person has, but how they handle their emotions to attend moments of crisis, face failures and even to make accurate decisions.

Now, it can be said that a leader will be more successful as long as he has better emotional intelligence. The better you manage your emotions and the more effective your interrelations are the better your way of leading. Positive leadership is to be aware of the importance of how it should be connected, how to interact, how to use your body language and especially what your communication with others is, creating a chemistry and a positive environment to achieve promising results.

Thus, positive leadership must focus on promoting positive emotions that increase productivity, creativity, commitment, loyalty, responsibility and heart of people, in order to obtain exceptional results, mutual benefit and vision long-term. This type of leadership, as the main transformation agent will lead an organization to its highest performance, as long as it takes into account that effective communication will play a very important role.

Communication must contemplate, the understanding, listening and value given to your followers. Developing the ability to build good stories, being memorable, inspiration, rational, ethical and emotional will create a connection with your followers, will positively influence working groups. The leader must have the ability to transmit the strategies, the vision of the company and the specific objectives of the organization, all this will help everything flow more and more naturally and more naturally
