GROUNDBREAKING ADVANCEMENT IN DERMATOLOGY
A recent advancement, cardinal for Nurses belonging to the discipline of Dermatology, is the development and clearance of Sebacia Micro Particles by the Food and Drug Administration (i.e., FDA) of the United States in an attempt to introduce innovative and effective treatments for the patients to cure their inflammatory acne skin conditions (Bio Space par. 1). It offers a holistic therapy, supplemented by the photothermal heating procedures of 1064 nm lasers; enabling dermatologists and assisting nurses to specifically target sebaceous glands and remedying sebum – induced skin breakouts in mild to moderate cases of acne (Bio Space par. 3).
IMPACT ON CLINICAL WORK AND NURSE SETTING
The clinical topic that Sebacia Microparticles addresses, coherent to my work as a nurse, is by ensuring a fast, convenient, and timely provisioning of a first line of treatment and/or therapy that would alleviate suffering (i.e. quality of life and self-esteem) for countless patients suffering from acne by subjecting them to fewer treatments and a meaningful reduction in comparison to laser therapies alone (Bio Space par. 4).
CORRELATION WITH 3Ps
With regards to the 3Ps (i.e., People, Processes, and Programs) (Simpson par. 1); the Sebacia treatment would be building upon the respective theology by eliciting higher technical and perceived quality from people through more efficacious systemization of processes that could be augmented through both logical and physical (i.

e., dermatology) programs.
EVIDENCE FROM SCHOLARLY ARTICLES
A recent scholarly article, by The Pharmaceutical Journal (par. 30), supports the efficacy of the treatment by labeling it a pivotal landmark in the fight against acne and in the introduction of innovation into the practice of dermatology, in comparison to other techniques and procedures. The second scholarly article that accentuates the viability of the Sebacia treatment is by Prime Journal (10) that praises the ability of the respective treatment to improve acne conditions by 79% in less than 6 months.
