Abstract
To fully comprehend and interact with a piece of writing, one puts into view a writer’s main idea, important details, logical organization, and effective expression. The analysis puts into view a piece written on three different workers in the workplace who include; the ambitious worker, the mediocre worker, and the lazy worker. A persuasive piece of writing is organized in terms of introduction that highlights the main idea, the body that entails the arguments that support the main idea and conclusion that sums up the argument. The writer uses the three parts of an essay that include the introduction, the body, and the conclusion. The three parts contribute to the organization of ideas whereby there is flow of content from the introduction to the conclusion. The ideas in the writing’s body are differentiated using the terms “first” “second” and “third” which also contribute to the flow of content. The writer can be viewed to persuade the audience through the description of the associated concepts.
Paragraph Analysis
A persuasive piece of writing is organized in terms of introduction that highlights the main idea, the body that entails the arguments that support the main idea and conclusion that sums up the argument (CSSC, 2018). The main idea, the important details, the logical organization, and effective expression make the paragraph under analysis persuasive. The writer begins with an interesting attention-getter that makes the reader reflect on what illustrates good attitude and hard work in the workplace.

Wait! Discussion Prompt Paragraph Analysis paper is just an example!

The writer’s main argument is the statement, “Three different types of workers make up the workforce, and each type works toward a different future,” (Reading Selections). The writer identifies the ambitious worker, the mediocre worker, and the lazy worker. The distinctions already provide the reader with the idea of the nature of the three workers.
The important details focus on the qualities of the three types of workers. As for the ambitious worker, the writer is persuasive by highlighting the worker’s qualities and other people’s perception of him or her. The worker is described to always work well and exceed expectations. On the mediocre worker, the writer is persuasive by identifying the characters of the worker. The worker is described as timely, and only engages on what is expected and does not go an extra mile. They are also tolerable as they do what is expected of them regardless of their bad attitude. The writer uses the term “slacker” to express his attitude towards the lazy worker. The worker is perceived to be disliked by fellow employees on the basis that the work is always late, is performed not as expected and tends to distract others (Reading Selections).
An aspect that also contributes to the persuasiveness of the writer is the logical organization of content. Terms that include “first”, “second” and “third” are used to introduce different ideas so that the reader differentiates one aspect from another. The effective expression used by the writer also makes the paragraph persuasive. To express his opinions of the ambitious, the writer uses the terms “high-wage earners” and “leaders” to describe the ambitious worker. He associates the mediocre workers with the term “dead-end jobs” which signifies their poor attitude. The writer associates the term “fired” to illustrate the hopelessness of the lazy worker.
In summary, the main idea, important details, the logical organization of the paragraph, and effective expression are used by the writer to persuade the audience.
