Summary

To consider an endangered species, we must take into account that the life members of that are in danger of disappearing. Thus, this work will be developed within the Peruvian field, for which some previous and indispensable concepts will begin to better understand the issue, a list of which species are in danger of extinction or, worse, worse, in extinction will be made later. Finally, the causes and consequences of this situation will be analyzed and that legal support exists in this regard.

Introduction

As said phrase says, the way someone treats an animal, to talk about its image and thus, in the same way this happens with a country. This intervenes and influences our issue since, many times we are, humans, who act irrationally and despise the lives of animals, not taking into account that they are those who often condition our lives.

The present work raises a theme that has given much to speak throughout history: endangered species. Its fundamental objective is to make known specifically which animals are in danger of extinction, learn important details about its disappearance, such as its causes and consequences, among many other issues.

Likewise, as part of the complement for the issue, it will be announced that legal support exists in this regard or, that organizations are responsible for protecting these species.

With regard to the above, we have the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of wildlife and Flora, which details the following:

Peru, is a signatory state of the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wildlife and Flora (CITES). CITES is to ensure that the international trade of animal and wild plants specimens do not constitute a threat to their survival. This regulation is carried out through administrative authorities, in coordination with the scientific authority. Today, CITES offers various degrees of protection to more than 30,000 species of fauna and flora worldwide. (Minam, 2014)

Previous concepts

FAUNA. – It is called that set of species that are found or inhabited in a certain geographical region or ecosystem, we talk about references such as a specific place, climate, type, medium or specific geological period. Whose survival and development often depends on both biotic and abiotic factors.

Peru, being a country rich in biodiversity has thousands of animal species in each region or a certain place. As Juan Chunga Espinoza states:

"Our country has a very varied fauna, which includes thousands of species, many of them endemic and little known" (Chunga, 1997)

DANGER OF EXTINCTION. – As his name says, it is considered an endangered species when all the members of that are danger of disappearing.

EXTINCTION. – By extinction this action and effect of extinguishing or extinguishing are understood, that is, that process of disappearance or cessation of something specifically. In terms of biology, extinction constitutes the total disappearance of all members of a certain species. Therefore, a species is considered extinct until its last specimen or live member has died.

Endangered animals

Peru, is a diverse mega country in both flora and fauna species. Indeed, it hosts between 466 species of mammals and 1787 birds, this fact makes it a second place in the second place worldwide with the greatest diversity in both fauna. In addition, it occupies the seventh place in relation to the diversity of reptile species with 307 varieties, according to the forestry body.

Over time, these species have done their best to survive, a fact that has not been possible in its entirety due to environmental changes, work of the human being, among other factors. Thus we have the following figures of animals in danger of extinction in Peru:

There is no doubt, Peru is a megadiverse country. House more than 1.800 types of birds and approximately 500 mammals. In addition, we have 365 classes of reptiles and 332 amphibians. However, at least 389 species run the risk of extinguishing, according to the list of threatened species of Peru, published in 2014. This information is essential for the various institutions to design and execute their conservation plans. (Suarez, 2014)

As observed, today we have updated figures, which constitutes a great advance, since of 1977 Peru presented a list of wildlife in a state of danger, where only 104 species were classified, a low figure due toThe little research and importance of that time.

"As a result of evaluation carried out, a list of categorized species was obtained in critical danger: 122, in danger: 203, in the vulnerable category: 103, almost threatened and 43 with insufficient data" (Serfor, 2018)

Within the species with the greatest danger of extinction we have:

• Andean bear
• Andean condor
• Andes cat
• Giant tingling bear
• Pudu
• Pink Amazon Dolphin
• Yellow -tail choro monkey
• Montañera danta
• Giant otter
• Aliblanca turkey

Causes

Among the causes that can cause the extinction of a species, we have the inability to adapt or benefit from the new conditions established in a certain means such as environmental changes or the appearance of a new stronger species, so we have the endemic species thatare the most vulnerable to these changes.

We also have indiscriminate burning and felling that significantly affects a number of specimens belonging to the Amazon jungle area.

In addition, we have the destruction of habitats for reasons for agricultural activities, constructions of access routes to these habitats, dam constructions and channels, the deviation of natural resources from rivers and mining. On the other hand, there are threats such as high environmental pollution, the reduction of the quantity of their food or shortage of damthat is aggravated when the victim is a species with a low reproduction rate.

Impact

Due to the actions of the human being and the natural phenomena, mentioned above, we have benefits for the individual himself, as well as harmful consequences for species and ecosystems, that is, a complete or absolute alteration of an ecosystem is generated, which leads to aLack of balance in the reproduction of other species. In addition, the human being is also affected, although we often ignore it or that can be difficult, this can be seen, for example, in the dispute between residents for the resources of the environment or excessive logging, which produces drastic changes in theclimate and in the environment such as the presence of rains and temperature changes.

Conclusions

1. It is clear that the main threat or danger of the extinction of animals is the human being itself.
2. In recent times, the figures have not stopped increasing and every day more species are lost, made with which we have become accustomed or perhaps we do nothing to stop it. Therefore, it is urgent to make a change that begins for ourselves, taking awareness of our actions.
3. The idea is not that the human being stops executing his activities, since they are a means to survive. However, what should be done is to have more caution and responsibility when exercising them.
