Eugenics: alteration of genes to eliminate defects

As we already know, eugenics is the alteration of genes to eliminate any defect in the genetic code of an individual in order to obtain a “perfect” being with the physical characteristics of the choice of parents. This brings several benefits and damages both in the development of a society and in the person itself.

In class we have focused a lot on the damages that this can bring, but what about the benefits? To begin with, I want to emphasize that the eugenics would not only help the human being fixing his DNA so as not to have any deadly disease, but can contribute in several aspects such as economy, education and ethics (both professional as regulations). As for the economy, I consider that eugenics would contribute a lot, since as we could see in the movie "Gattaca", each person would come with specific characteristics that would help him have a good performance in the area that is supposed to be developed, by Therefore, if each person is very good in their work and have no errors, then, they would generate a high percentage of profits and the greater this better number will be the economy. The same happens with education, if all people have a high intellectual coefficient then they will not have problems instantly understanding anything that is explained, so that each one would end any type of educational level without any problem and the Education of society would be superior.

As for the normative ethics that is what makes us differentiate to each individual from what is good from what is wrong, I think that eugenics would contribute a lot because as we know there are people who even knowing the repercussions that an incorrect act can bring They end up doing anyway, so this would help people think things better before doing something they can regret.

Wait! Eugenics: Alteration Of Genes To Eliminate Defects paper is just an example!

In the same way it occurs with professional ethics that is one that contains all the standards and values that must be taken into account in the workplace. Here the eugenics would add a lot because they would have attitudes that are very necessary to have a healthy work space, that is, to always arrive on time, mutual respect between colleagues and compliance with the rules as their place of work require.

In conclusion, it is true that eugenics has its damages such as that we are all perfect and that our lives have been genetically written, but if we see it on the other hand it also has many benefits that would help improve the development of any society.
