Work Specialization
Work specialization which is also known as the division of labor refers to how organizations divide different tasks into individual jobs. It allows managers to break down tasks into small manageable tasks that individual employees can work on. As time goes by, the employee becomes effective and proficient in carrying out that task. The common forms of specialization in companies include operations, finance, engineering, marketing, branding, supply chains, procurement, sales, and accounts (Sisk, n.p). The specializations lead to the company engaging the employees in the areas they are good at and letting them get to perfection in whichever field they are in.
Advantages of Work Specialization
One advantage of work specialization is that it allows the managers to split complex tasks into small manageable tasks thus the work done is of high quality. All the processes involved in a task can easily be conducted by one person who is well versed with the job and thus ensures no mistakes are made. Specialization ensures that there is the effective and efficient use of company experts in various categories and ensures that they focus on all the expertise on that particular area.
Disadvantages of work Specialization
One disadvantage of work specialization is that these jobs are niche and have a small scope compared to other jobs that are general. It denies people the chance to learn the overall perspective of the job and lets them focus on what they are experts in.

Wait! Explain the organizational component of work specialization. Discuss its advantages and drawbacks paper is just an example!

Doing the same work for many years may cause boredom which may make these employees lose interest in their jobs. If these specialized jobs are not supported through team building activities and other forms of motivation, high employee turnover rates may be experienced in organizations. It also prevents employees from performing tasks that they have no experience in (Sisk, n.p).

To be honest, I hate writing. That’s why when my professor assigned me with coursework, I just took the easy way out and hired StudyZoomer to assist me. I’m absolutely satisfied with the result, no flaws.
