Problem Statement
The policy needs to be supported by a number of stakeholders in the health industry for it to be credible. The policy also needs the backing of congress and the house in order to become a law.
Background: Why is this issue a problem?
The health staff, health corporation and insurance companies all need to back the policy in order for it to be made as a law to be implemented and regulated. There are regulations that need to be put in place for relevant stakeholders in the health sector to follow.
Landscape: Identify stakeholders and their key factors
Key stakeholders consist of insurance companies, hospitals and nurses. Insurance companies key factors are; finances and cost control. Hospitals’ key factors are funding and implementation. Nurses’ key factors are time factor and improvement of the healthcare.
Options: List three possible options and briefly assess each
Option 1: Persuade the nurses to back the policy. This in turn leads to the policy having a powerful ally in the heath sector which can help push the bill.
Option 2: Creation of committees that will oversee the implementation of the law, will help in the implementation of the law without affecting quality of the health care.
Option 3: Creation of flexible regulation hence cannot become obsolete.
Recommendation: Choose one of the previous options and describe why it is the best solution
Option 1: Persuasion of nurses.
The groups that represent nurses should be persuaded in order to back the policy changes.

This is because the nurses have a stronger say in the implementation as they are the most hit by the incoming changes. The groups can then lobby other stakeholders to support the policy for the improvement of healthcare.
Recommendation
The backing of the policy by the nurses improves the chances of other stakeholders getting on board significantly. This is because the health staff are the first who implement of the law.
