Heart Failure
The x-ray which was assigned to me by the course instructor has various implications when it gets studied keenly and closely. These are some of the inferences from this x-ray, and various conclusions can be made as guided by Ryu, (2017).
Assessment of quality/Airway
When the mnemonic PIER is used to assess the x-ray, the position seems to be in lateral and inspiration effect is good because when counted the ribs are counting to ten. Concerning the exposure, the films are not well-exposed because the lung has no good detail while the rotation is in normal due to space amidst of adjacent vertebrae’s margin and medial clavicle are coarsely equal.
Bones and the soft tissues
While the bones for osteoporosis, symmetry, lesions, and fractures are scanned, it is observed that pulmonary vessel is swollen and the subcutaneous air is restricted in a way.
Cardiac
While the heart’s size is evaluated, it is observed that it exceeds 60% which implicates that this patient’s heart is enlarged.
Diaphragm
When the diaphragms are checked, their position is slight shadowing which implicates the condition of alveolar edema.
Effusions
When this x-ray is studied keenly, lacks the pleural effusions which are evident. This can be understood like; the pleural effusions are subtle and small to the extent of not being seen.
Fields, fissures, and foreign bodies
In this case, the septal lines lack which, in turn, implicates that there is interstitial edema’s sign and the alveolar are slight shadowings.

Wait! heart failure paper is just an example!

Great vessels/ Gastric bubble
The shape and size of aortic are extremely large which has resulted from left ventricle’s bulging. The inflammation of pulmonary vessel on right side implicates the pulmonary venous hypertension’s sign.
Hila and mediastinum
The left hilum is normal because it is higher to that of right and the mediastinum has widened. The mass effect is indicated by the tracheal deviation due to the left and right enlargement of atrial.
Impression
In the lungs, there is no abnormality while the heart and the blood vessels seem to have enlarged due to the heart failure. This impresses that the condition is in initial stages and not that advanced and this can be done away with it very easy to avoid further complications and the conditions which can be complicated to cure in future.
There are no lines of Septal which are interstitial edema’s sign, there exists both the left and right atrial enlargement, and there is slight shadowing because of the alveolar edema. The x-ray shows the vessel enlargement in the upper zone implicating that; the vessel of pulmonary is swollen and inflamed on the right side, and this is the sign of venous hypertension of pulmonary. The x-ray presented when studied shows that there lack the pleural effusions which are evident from a presentation. Finally, the major inference concerns about the cardiomegaly indicating the evidence of heart enlargement due to the left ventricle’s bulging.
From the above inferences and the observations made, this patient has the heart which is enlarged, and this indicates the condition of heart-failure as pinpointed by Harrison, (2016). It is due to the act of having an enlarged heart that has led to blood vessels enlarging while the lungs lack any aberration as observed. The blood vessels of the heart are enlarged while on the other hand there lacks abnormality on lungs. The condition is seen simply because; this reflects heart failure’s case where the blood vessels and the heart surges to increase in size in trying to compensate for oxygen needs by relevant tissues and this, in turn, leads to the enlargement. This being still in the beginning and prior stages, it implicates that there lacks fluid within the alveolar as observed. During the stages which are advanced, the interstitial fluid will be responsible for leading to the alveolar edema, and this might bring about complicated conditions like that of pneumonia.
